York House Dereham, Norfolk
Posted: 18 hours ago by Austin Restieaux (Son-in-law of Resident)
My Father and Mother-in-law have been residents at the home for over a year. Unfortunately Mother-in-law passed away. The staff have been absolutely marvelous with the care and attention they give to all the residents at the home. It is always nice to not only see my Father-in-law, but Mandy, James and all the people involved in trying to make the residents stay as warm and loving as they can. The meals are first class and I am so glad that George is here being looked after by such caring staff, they are always happy and caring. They have functions for them which is marvelous and keep them all involved.

York House Dereham, Norfolk
Posted: 19 hours ago by Susan Restieaux (Daughter of Resident)
Since my Dad has been in York House, I now call them my family too. They are happy, considerate, kind and caring but most of all respectful to my Dad for which I am most grateful for. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them and my wishes have always been carried out. My Dad is happy here. The food is excellent. They provide good entertainment and activities too. I feel that my Dad is safe, well cared for but most of all loved by the staff. When I leave York House I never have to worry about him as I have every confidence in the staff.
Oak Lodge Nursing Home Basingstoke, Hampshire
Posted: 21 hours ago by Debbie (Daughter of Resident)
Due to the care and perseverance of the staff, our Mother's health and general wellbeing have improved greatly, since moving to Oak Lodge from another local care home.
The setting and grounds are beautiful and the conservatory is especially beneficial. Our Mother is joining in with all the activities and is slowly becoming a more social being again.

Ferfoot Care Home Chippenham, Wiltshire
Posted: 12 May 2012 by Anthony McNiff (Son of Resident)
My father (dementia sufferer) recently transferred to Ferfoot from hospital in South Wales. My brother and sisters had found it difficult to find a care home that would both look after him and provide active care that would allow him to make the most of every opportunity he could.
Ferfoot has exceeded our expectations. My father is treated with kindness and respect from a dedicated staff and is encouraged to participate in a wide range of stimulating activities.
The condition is difficult to deal with but the knowledge that he is being well cared for is a real comfort.

Turret Villa Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland
Posted: 12 May 2012 by Judith Scrivener (Neice of resident)
My Aunt has been a resident for the past 6 years and has been wonderfully looked after by the Manager and his Staff. She received the most loving and individual care and was a happy resident in a bright, warm, well-furnished and comfortable room. She particularly enjoyed her food and the kindness of the cooks to supply her special little ' likes' was much appreciated. There were plenty of social events and activities she could partake in if she wanted to and her many visitors were always welcome.
I would certainly recommend Turret Villa to anyone seeking a care home of outstanding quality.
Thank you to all.
Judith Scrivener.

Cranmer Court Warlingham, Surrey
Posted: 11 May 2012 by Peter Boys (son of resident (deceased))
Run by Norah Davey and her dedicated team of staff, this care home cannot be more highly recommended. My mother spent the last four and a half years of her life here, cared for to the very end by the dedicated staff.
Quality of rooms and cleanliness excellent at all times and the cuisine served better than a number of good quality restaurants.
The atmosphere is relaxed, with entertainments arranged for residents on a regular basis. the home itself stands in idyllic grounds with well-maintained lawns and gardens.
Dementia well catered for with dedicated expertise within the staff quota.
Relatives always welcomed, it was a delight visiting at all times.

Castle View Care Home Dumbarton, Dunbartonshire
Posted: 10 May 2012 by Mary Frances Fleming (Niece of resident)
Straight away they put me in contact; I have not seen or heard from my uncle in about 20 years, straight away I was put in contact by telephone. He was completely aware of his past I am under the impression that he is not under drugs or medication and he is being well looked after. The staff are very patient even though they have a very difficult job, anyway thanks for looking after my uncle I do not know if it is expensive, even if it is we have to make sure that the people who take care of our loved ones are up to standard that is all I Have to say for the moment. Please give a big hug to my Uncle George from me thanks.

St Wilfrids Hall Nursing Home Lancaster, Lancashire
Posted: 10 May 2012 by Kathleen K (Daughter of Resident)
Since my Mother has been here she has settled well and gained weight. She has Alzheimer’s and cannot remember names of staff but she knows them and loves them all. She is very happy and the care she receives is excellent. There are no visiting hours but visitors can arrive at anytime to suit themselves, without advance notice. Entertainment and activities take place regularly and all residents are encouraged to join in, ensuring mental as well as physical care is maintained. I would and have already recommended this home to all who will listen.
