Just chosen Springfield House for our Mum. After visiting what feels like every care home in the North East, I just wanted to say how refreshing it has been to visit Springfield!! No unpleasant smells, staff who actually welcomed us and chatted! Lovely place, thank you.

My husband was admitted to this care home 2 years ago. The home was excellent, things did go down about 11 months ago, possible lack of staff. Carers are very good and work almost to breaking point. All staff are polite and friendly.

1) Modern well appointed purpose built home in attractive setting. 2) Dedicated staff (although slightly under staffed). 3) Suitable as a residential home but does not offer nursing care. 4) Professional management. 5) Comparatively high cost for the area, compensated for by its advantages.

My wife came to Meadow Bank for respite care for 1 week. She is very well looked after. I recommend the home for anyone who needs to bring a family member to a care home. The staff and management are excellent.

My mam has been in Abbotts Court since September and the care she has received has been excellent. The staff are excellent, always there for you. Nothing is too much trouble, they have helped both myself and my mam settle in the home, excellent team. The home is very clean and the food is good. I would recommend Abbotts Court to anybody who's mother or father has to go into care.

The home is in a lovely location with views to enjoy inside and out. There is a terrace for sitting outdoors and lounge upstairs to enjoy the views. The carers are all friendly yet professional and respond quickly and efficiently to the needs of the residents. Residents are free to get up and go to bed in their own time. Meals are always enjoyable and prepared and served to a high standard. Choices are available. Rooms are spacious and cleaned to a high standard. Lavender Hills is a small home and feels more like a hotel, the interior is furnished to a high standard. Parking is very good.

I would highly recommend this care home to anyone who wants peace of mind that their loved ones are being well looked after. The standards are of the highest quality from the food to the caring. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, who's attention to the well being and compassion to the residents is second to none!

As a family we were devastated that our mum/gran had to live in a care home. Melbury and its staff have removed all our fears. We couldn't have wished for more. The atmosphere, care, attention is our reassurance that we needn't worry about mum's well being.

My Wife and I stayed at Admiral Court for three weeks whilst she was recovering from a hip operation. The care and attention she received was excellent and we would recommend anyone convalescing would benefit from time in this care home.

I feel that the care my mother receives is exemplary. The manager does an amazing job, she is warm, caring efficient, dedicated and knowledgeable and knows the relatives to each resident personally. Her staff are equally efficient, very kind, courteous and welcoming. The training each member receives is ongoing and effective. I can rest easy that Mum is being looked after well. My mother had her 100th birthday at the home last year,and the efforts made by the staff to give her and us a wonderful celebration were exceptional.

The moment I stepped into this home, I sensed a warm and friendly atmosphere. The ambience is light and airy, and there is always something going on for residents to enjoy. The staff are always very helpful and genuinely fond of the residents. I have noticed on many occasions how the level of care is over and above what you would expect. There is access to the well laid out gardens from either of the two conservatories. The residents are taken on outings regularly and also take part in many different celebrations inside the home. Live music is provided regularly and all are encouraged to join in with the songs. Finally I must mention the food which is superb and always very tempting. The chefs will always go out of their way for any special requests. My mother who is in her nineties has been a resident now for three years, and it is such a relief to know that she is getting the very best care 24hrs a day.

We're extremely happy for our Mum to be in in the care of Foxley House and feel very lucky that it was recommended to us. All the staff are very friendly, welcoming and approachable at all times. Our mum is very happy and content in Foxley House. We live about 5 1/2 hours away, and call Foxley House to speak to our Mum at all hours, and it's never too much trouble for the staff to go and get our mum, even so they have extremely little time to spare. Our mum has been on outings to the Garden Centre with some residents. Which she enjoyed very much, right there with fish supper they have ever so often. We are also really pleased how the kitchen and cleaning staff interacted with the residents, outstanding all of you. THANK YOU :o)))

For the last 2.5 years Marnel have provided a safe comfortable and incredibly caring environment for my mother and father. Mum died about 18 months ago and Dad stayed on at Marnel. They were very supportive of him and we had no need to worry about his well being. The level of care he received at the end of his life could not have been better and they helped us cope with what could have been a very distressing time for everyone.
