Abbotts Court Care Home Durham
Posted: 6 minutes ago by Vivienne F (Daughter of resident)
My mam has been in Abbotts Court since September and the care she has received has been excellent. The staff are excellent, always there for you. Nothing is too much trouble, they have helped both myself and my mam settle in the home, excellent team. The home is very clean and the food is good. I would recommend Abbotts Court to anybody who's mother or father has to go into care.

Lavender Hills Care Home Bury, Lancashire
Posted: 19 minutes ago by Christina S (Daughter of resident)
The home is in a lovely location with views to enjoy inside and out. There is a terrace for sitting outdoors and lounge upstairs to enjoy the views. The carers are all friendly yet professional and respond quickly and efficiently to the needs of the residents. Residents are free to get up and go to bed in their own time. Meals are always enjoyable and prepared and served to a high standard. Choices are available. Rooms are spacious and cleaned to a high standard. Lavender Hills is a small home and feels more like a hotel, the interior is furnished to a high standard. Parking is very good.

Melbury Court Durham
Posted: 29 minutes ago by Jane Brewis (Daughter of resident)
As a family we were devastated that our mum/gran had to live in a care home. Melbury and its staff have removed all our fears. We couldn't have wished for more. The atmosphere, care, attention is our reassurance that we needn't worry about mum's well being.

Barchester Marnel Lodge Care Home Basingstoke, Hampshire
Posted: 1 hour ago by John Ranson (Son of recently deceased resident)
For the last 2.5 years Marnel have provided a safe comfortable and incredibly caring environment for my mother and father. Mum died about 18 months ago and Dad stayed on at Marnel. They were very supportive of him and we had no need to worry about his well being. The level of care he received at the end of his life could not have been better and they helped us cope with what could have been a very distressing time for everyone.

Very nice home, nice pleasant staff, would recommend it to local community and family and friends. Pleasantly impressed as you hear a lot of bad things about care hones. However I myself would be more than happy to stay in it if I needed looking after in a care home.

Melbury Court Durham
Posted: 2 hours ago by Michelle B (Daughter-in-law of resident)
My father-in-law was told by social services that he needed 24 hour care. He was anxious and concerned about going into one as he had an awful experience in hospital. All of the staff even down to the chef have made him feel comfortable. He has good and bad days and the staff are brilliant with both, they treat him with compassion and dignity and he feels safe. This is all we could ask for. He is talking of seeing his days out at Melbury Court (even though it is initially for 6 weeks)

Beauvale Care Home Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Posted: 2 hours ago by Stephen Weselby (Grandson)
Though my grandmother was only at Beauvale for the shortest of times our family were incredibly grateful for the level of care, effort and dignity afforded her by all the staff at the home. Beyond this their attentiveness to us as guests went far beyond any expectations we had of the circumstances. Kind courtesy, drinks, meals and even room to stay at all hours by my grandmother's side were routinely extended to us leaving us free to focus with as little anxiety as possible on my nan's final days. We thank all at Beauvale very much.

Dove Tree House Exeter, Devon
Posted: 3 hours ago by Hazel H (Daughter)
Throughout the time my mum was a resident in Dovetree she has received excellent care all staff showed her warmth, as they do all residents. I often commented to Mum it was like living in a four star hotel, with excellent food and a great choice. It is actually a fun place to be. During Mum's final two weeks, she received excellent care and attention and was able to die peacefully with a member of a staff. A warm happy place.

My mum was very ill last year and was admitted to Magna. What lovely staff, she is so happy there, we did think that she would not see her 93rd birthday, but I am sure the loving care given to her has pulled her through. Building needs some T.L.C but the staff should be applauded.

Meadows House Care Home with Nursing London

My mum's husband and father to my sister, brother and myself was cared for by the staff of Meadows during the last weeks of his life. My father was suffering from vascular dementia and the care and comfort that the aforementioned staff provided was nothing short of outstanding. We as a family will always be grateful for this in what was a difficult time for our family.

It feels that some of the staff of this care home go beyond the call of duty and provide an outstanding quality of care to my nanna. She is happy and relaxed and as a family we are always made to feel welcome and offered refreshments. The entertainment is also excellent providing happy and quality family time with our relative outstanding staff goes to Janet Peastock and Pat Reid.

Gildawood Court Care Home Nuneaton, Warwickshire
Posted: 4 hours ago by Nina B (Daughter of resident)
Nice clean home, very friendly staff, considerate to my mother. She has the best of care and continuity in that care. All the rooms have there own ensuite which to my mind is essential. Outings are arranged for in the summer for those able to go. My mother had her 100th birthday in November and the staff and family put on a party for her. Nowhere is the same as home, but when you have to make a decision to place anyone in care, Gildawood Court ticks all the boxes.
