As my Aunt Mrs Jean Jarvis had been a resident for over two years we were very pleased with the care she received. So when my Mother May Rutter needed the same care I was happy for her to be admitted. My Mother passed away suddenly on February 2013, we still visit my Aunt.

Coppice Lea Care Home with Nursing Redhill, Surrey
Posted: 16 hours ago by Mary V (Relative)
The staff at Coppice Lea are all kind, caring and hard working. They are extremely patient with the residents, treating them with respect and dignity and so they create a happy atmosphere. The nursing staff always know when residents are unwell they treat the symptoms, then report back to relatives. All the staff are very approachable and willing to sort out any queries. The residents are safe, well looked after and cared for in beautiful surroundings. There are plenty of activities for those residents who are capable of participating. I have not seen all the rooms and facilities, so I don't know if they are all excellent and I have not seen all the activities but those I have seen have been excellent.

Regency House Care Home Cardiff
Posted: 17 hours ago by Denise Bassett (Daughter-in-law of resident)
From the day that mum moved onto the Regency Care Home she has been made to feel so welcome. The manager Debbie and all of the staff throughout the home are professional, caring and very attentive seeing to mum's every need. They go out of their way to motivate and stimulate her to make her day busy. There is a fantastic feeling of team-work and they carry out their duties with a terrific sense of humour. In conclusion you feel it is more of an hotel than a residential home and I would have no hesitation in recommendating the Regency.

Mum is a resident and is always happy, treated with care and dignity, and looked after excellently at Lakeside. Mum loves being at Lakeside, the staff are very friendly. Meals look excellent, Mum is a funny eater but never leaves anything at all. Matron and staff are always available if you have any worries.

Norley Hall Care Home Wigan, Greater Manchester
Posted: 17 hours ago by Janine Abraham (Daughter of resident)
I cannot recommend this care home enough. Mum is in the EMI unit upstairs. It's the hardest thing having to put your loved one into care and I must have viewed almost every 'suitable' home in the Wigan area when that time came and Norley Hall stood out. And it stands out even more now as mum has thrived since living there for the last six months. The staff are just brilliant. Really friendly. They look after each and every resident like they were a member of their own family. They are genuinely dedicated and very very hard working. They are loving, caring and calming towards mum who obviously has the occasional bout of challenging behaviour. They keep her entertained, have a laugh with her, take her for days out, paint her nails etc and she's always nicely dressed and clean. Her room and the communal areas are kept lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they always treat the residents with dignity and respect. They are unsung heroes. It's been a long time since I've seen mum looking so well and happy and laughing and that's all down to the staff. She's very settled here, loves the food (and all the treats of biscuits and chocolates and cakes etc that they give her daily!) I would recommend Norley Hall Care Home without hesitation to anyone. Extremely well managed. It is simply the best at a very difficult time for any family in this position.

Gateford Hill Care Home Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Posted: 18 hours ago by Noreen Wilkinson (Mother of resident)
Gateford staff are absolutely wonderful and look after my young disabled daughter with dignity and respect at all times. I have every trust in their care and it is the first time in her 28 years that I totally trust someone else with her welfare. She is totally unable to meet any of her own needs and she has never shown any evidence of ill treatment or neglect. I am delighted she resides at Gateford.

Barchester Tandridge Heights Nursing and Care Home Oxted, Surrey
Posted: 18 hours ago by Patricia King (Wife of resident)
My family and I felt welcomed the minute we arrived, initially for respite care, but after our 'interview' decided before we left the building this was an ideal place. The caring attitude and understanding of the families needs were a great help so we became 'permanent' within 24 hours. The place is friendly, caring, efficient and as near home from home as possible. Good varied meals, top marks for laundry. A happy place to be for residents and family.

Shire Hall Care Home Cardiff
Posted: 18 hours ago by Lynda R (Daughter of Resident)
Dad's health suddenly deteriorated a week before I was due to go on holiday. Shire Hall agreed respite care for 10 days with only 24hrs notice. As soon as I walked into Shire Hall I was amazed by its welcome, with all the staff and managers that greeted me and dad and how clean and homely everything felt. Dad's room was superb it was like I was leaving him in a 5* hotel. It was Dad's first time in respite and he never asked to come home once. I asked him as we were leaving if he'd been looked after and he said "extensively."

My mother has been a resident at this care home for the past 4 months.
