It is a nice place here. You get looked after well. I like the food, always something I like on the menu. I like it when entertainers come in as it is a great atmosphere. Would like them to come in more though. Can talk to the staff about anything.

Kingswood Court Tadworth, Surrey

My husband had been suffering cerebral vascular disease for more than 12 years. His mobility decreased until he could no longer walk. I had carers in to wash and dress him for 6 years. As he started to suffer from vascular dementia he had to go into a nursing home. The staff were so kind and positive at all times both to my husband and to me when I visited. He lived there for 9 months becoming weaker month by month until he died, receiving excellent palliative care.

Abbey Grange Nursing Home Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Posted: 17 hours ago by Peter Charles S (Son of resident)
My mother-in-law was a resident for the last 18 months. The care she received over this period changed her personality. She no longer had the panic attacks that plagued her life previously. The attention and medication she received was exemplary. Sadly she succumbed to an infection on top of CPD which did not respond to antibiotics on several previous occasions the care in the home brought her back from the brink. The en-suite accommodation was exemplary. The food was magnificent and Doreen was kept beautifully clean at all times. Special thanks for Doreen's care go to Cindy, Christine, Pippin and the late Caron who passed away whilst on duty.

Although my wife was in here just over a month, the expert care and attention was second to none. My daughters and I only wish we could have got her there earlier. They care about the residents and even the visitors are made to feel at home. If you want to sleep at night knowing your relatives are being looked after this is the place for you.

Waterside London
Posted: 17 hours ago by Margaret Hughes (Daughter of resident)
All the residents look content, are well dressed and clean and tidy. There are lots of activities that they may (or may not if they so choose)participate in/with. The care home allows visitors anytime it's doors are open to Age UK, The Stroke Association, Alzheimer's Association etc. The staff who work at Waterside are kind and patient with the residents and treat them like their own families. (Medical records are good too according to the consultant in charge of Gerontology at King's College Hospital). 'It is the Rolls Royce of Care Homes' to quote another residents sister.

Barton Brook Residential & Nursing Home Manchester, Greater Manchester
Posted: 17 hours ago by Marie G (Niece of resident)
My aunt has been a resident on Moss Unit for just over 12 months. Such is the level of care given by Michelle and her team, I have booked my mother in for 2 weeks respite. All the staff take time to chat with the residents and give them individual attention. I would have no hesitation in recommending Barton Brook for either full-time residential care or respite care.

The Hayes Sherborne, Dorset

After a fall, my grandmother moved into The Hayes. I am totally satisfied with the care she receives - the carers are respectful, professional and very caring and I am so relieved that I know she is safe and being looked after 24/7 by people I now know and trust. I feel very lucky that my wonderful nan is in The Hayes, she deserves the best.

Ambleside Nursing Home Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset
Posted: 18 hours ago by Adrian Evans (Son of Residents)
We recently moved our parents from another care home to Ambleside Weston-Super-Mare as we were extremely concerned for their welfare. The rejuvenation in their health has to be seen to be believed, especially with my father. Whereas previously he was invariably asleep but whilst awake conversation was nigh on impossible, now he is able to participate once again. Ambleside is light and airy and all employees relaxed and give the impression they have as much time as needed for residents and visitors alike.

St Elizabeth Southampton, Hampshire

This is the best home overall, that I have come across in the area. It is outstanding in every way, with staff who have time for the residents and families. Mother in law is very happy at St Elizabeth's and is always saying how good the food is. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and Mrs Watt's management instils confidence.

Elmstead Residential Home Chislehurst, London
Posted: 18 hours ago by Peter Gregory (Son of resident)
When we were looking for a care home for my mum we didn't really know what we were looking for. Our main aim was the care, we looked at 6 in this area and we just thought the care was very outstanding. The carers have so much time for the residents, also I cannot fault the chef and his team, his food is excellent! I could go on forever, the only thing it needs is an update decor-wise, but not a priority, also I forgot to mention Carla, in charge of activities, she is brilliant. Also must mention Gina, a star, things wouldn't happen if it doesn't start from the top.
