Chaseview Care Home Burntwood, Staffordshire
We were very pleased to find Chase View Care Home for my Mum, they made her last few months of her life comfortable with care, love and kindness. Mum had settled in really well. The staff were friendly with us as well always a smile and hello even if they were not actually caring for Mum. The home is well looked after and the food good, they catered for her special diet. Her room was a good size and residents were encouraged to have some of their own things about them.

Hodge Hill Grange Care Home Birmingham, West Midlands
The home is one of the best. Nursing staff/domestic staff are A1. The staff and management are caring and always on hand. Any problems are sorted out as soon as possible. Would recommend. Mum does not interact with games or activities, but they do go to her room and sing/talk to her.

Brompton House Residential & Nursing Home Broadway, Worcestershire
My mother went into Brompton House as she was no longer safe to be at home following a couple of mini strokes and many falls. The staff treated her with kindness from day 1 and I can now be assured she will be cared for 24hrs a day. The food is good, mum is diabetic but they make sure she does nor select anything to sugary from the menu which is carried. There are activities most days if residents wish to participate. The home has recently been completely refurbished and everywhere is light and roomy. Happy to note there are no obvious urine odours as I have noticed in some care homes.

Montana Care Home Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
There is a warm, friendly, family atmosphere at Montana that truly makes it a happy home. The care and support provided to residents by the Sisters and staff at Montana is second to none. I visit regularly and am always made to feel welcome and part of the loving Montana 'family community'. An exceptional home where the care and comfort of the residents comes first.

Kingsfield Care Centre Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester
Since my mother had to be placed in Kingsfield on a temporary basis now permanent the home and staff have tried their best to ensure she is cared for. We experienced a bad few weeks when she kept escaping but everything was done to resolve the situation. The staff/management will all try to help if there is a problem and hopefully my mums time here will continue on the same basis.

Guisborough Manor Guisborough, Cleveland & Teesside
I cannot speak too highly of Guisborough. After the closure meeting at Gracelands Guisborough my daughter, husband and I went directly to Guisborough Manor (May 12th). We were immediately welcomed, shown a beautiful room; en-suite, lovely view etc, and before leaving, Betty's name ticket was on the door. They assisted with all the moving arrangements etc for the 22 May. The staff were especially kind, not least to me, for her short stay there. I wish it could have been longer, but she was already in her 11th year of alzheimers!! Thank you so much.

The Beeches Care Centre Dukinfield, Greater Manchester
A clean, comfortable residence. The staff are friendly and efficient, but at times appear to be overstretched. Even so, they work hard and do not complain. The Beeches have a first class rapport with the local NHS and residents get fast attention from GPs and emergency services (much faster than they would get a home in this area). Food is 'good home cooked' always served fresh. Residents are comfortable, warm and well looked after, but staffing levels appear to be restricted, probably by budget. The residents would probably benefit from more quality discussion/stimulation time.

Holme Bank Residential Care Home Wolverhampton, West Midlands
Holme Bank has a comfortable homely feel to it. Residents are very much treated as individuals and dietary requirements and care needs met accordingly. The home is very well managed. Staff are respectful to residents and visitors and relative involvement is encouraged. Communal areas are comfortable and good home cooked meals provided. As a relative I am always made to feel welcome and most importantly my dad is comfortable and content, regards Holme Bank as home.

Hillcroft Cardiff
Mum appears very content and well looked after. Her wishes are listened to and her needs are met in a person centred way. She has no complaints and says that all the staff are lovely. Considering mum's dementia and occasional resistance to care, the staff are very skilled at working with her to keep a good balance between her emotional needs and her physical needs.

Park House Care Home Prenton, Merseyside
Park House is just the place for residents with dementia. All the staff are trained to deal with dementia. The residents treated with respect and dignity. There is plenty of corridors for the wanderers. Each corridor is themed. If I had to go into a care home, I would want it to be this one. We looked at about a dozen homes and this was the only one that we were happy enough to place mum. Her care over the next 2.5 years was excellent, and we never had cause to complain about anything

East Croft Grange Workington, Cumbria
I am very impressed with the standard of care given to my father at East Croft Grange. The home is managed very well indeed and is thoroughly professional. Communication is good and all staff are friendly, professional and have a sound understanding about my father's needs, both medical, personal and social. If there is a more serious medical problem, nurses and doctors are called out immediately. My father's room is clean, airy, light, comfortable and has a magnificent view towards Scotland. He enjoys this very much and talks often about the boats he sees sailing up and down the Solway Firth! My wife and I have always been treated with courtesy when visiting (we live in Yorkshire) and feel able to chat about the needs of my father. We also appreciate the many cups of tea and biscuits that are provided which helps to make the visit more comfortable and enjoyable! In short, I am very happy indeed with the standard of his care and can take comfort in the fact that my father's needs are being fully met. This is particularly important when I don't live locally. Highly recommended!
