Established in 1992, The Boyne is situated in a pleasant area in the heart of Ruislip Manor. The Ruislip Manor tube station and local shops are within a 3 minute walk from The Boyne. Central London is about 30 minutes away and access to the major motorways (M1, M3, M4, M25 and M40) is convenient. Major extension and refurbishment works completed in 2005 have resulted in full board accomodation for 25 elderly people in 19 single (12 with en-suite facilities) and 3 double (one with en-suite facilities) rooms, a passenger lift, ancillary aid equipment/furniture, a fully automated in-house laundry equipped with the OTEX infection control system, a nurse-call system and a 24-hour security monitoring camera system . All private and public rooms have been tastefully decorated and furnished. There is a large secluded garden with patio, walkways, flower beds, benches, fountain, etc. which id accessible from the main lounge through French doors and residents are encouraged to patronise it as much as possible subject to weather and own limitations. Staff are individually trained to provide appropriate and customised attention for each resident. The Boyne caters for up to 25 elderly people. The small number allows us to create a house-like atmosphere. We are able to provide diabetic meals and ethnic requirements are respected. There are visiting doctors, district nurse, dentist, optician, hairdresser, chiropodist, clergy and entertainers. |
