(Number of Positive Reviews ÷ number of registered beds) x 2, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. ie a care home / service has to receive a number of Positive Reviews equal to half of the number of registered beds to obtain the maximum score of 1 point. eg a care home / service with 40 registered beds has to receive 20 Positive Reviews to obtain the maximum score of 1 point.

        (For Adult Day Care Centres and Extra Care Housing which do not have a registered number of beds, 1) and 2) are replaced by the formula of 0.2 points per Review, up to a maximum score of 2 points. ie a listing needs 10 Reviews to receive the maximum score of 2 points

      The Quantity Score of 3.893 for Lawnfield House is calculated as follows:

  • Before 1st July 2015 carehome.co.uk only accepted Recommendations (positive comments only) and the Ratings were limited to Excellent, Good & Satisfactory. These are marked up as Recommendations.

  • As of 1st July 2015 carehome.co.uk changed from Recommendations to Reviews (positive and negative comments) and added the Ratings Poor and Very Poor. These are marked up as Reviews. Between 1st July and 31st December 2015, we are still processing a number of Recommendations from Recommendation cards sent out before 1st July (These are marked up as Recommendations).

  • We receive approximately 15% of Reviews/Recommendations through website submission and 85% of Reviews/Recommendations through Review/Recommendation Cards (only available to Enhanced / Premium Services more info).

  • We only accept/publish Reviews that are submitted by a Resident/Service User or their Friends/Family (cannot be submitted anonymously) and comply with our Content Standards (eg are relevant, informative, civil and do not contain allegations of abuse, negligence or criminal activity).

  • Before publication, we check that all reviews comply with our Review Policy and we show all reviews to care providers so that they may submit a response to be published with the review.

My friend has been resident at Lawnfield House since May 2015. She has had several problems during that period but I have felt that the care ad consideration given by management and staff have been amazing. There has been much soul searching regarding the placement because of her challenging behaviour. I believe that Lawnfield house is the right place for her at this time, only if she supported by one to one care. The setting is right - she can freely walk about and has settled. Of course the long term may prove to need other input and care. Where she is now we can visit her frequently and would wish this to continue until such time as the situation changes.

Dear Patricia

It is heartwarming to hear how valued our services provided at Lawnfield House have been. I am also glad that we have managed to meet the needs during the transition phase with the additional support that has been implemented.

Now that needs are changing further, and as nursing needs become the primary requirement we will endeavour to provide availability in one of our nursing homes should you wish.

My mum has been in this home for six weeks and I hope she will be able to stay now. She has a lovely en-suite bedroom. Everywhere is light and bright. Spotlessly clean. Staff are wonderful. So helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Food is very good. Its a lovely home for my mum.

I visited my father on a weekly basis to take him out for a few hours. The staff and surroundings were always excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lawnfield House.

My father has been living at Lawnfield Home for 8 months and has been helped to settle in by the very kind and caring staff. He has dementia and can be difficult on personal care but the staff are kind and patient. He enjoys music and has music therapy which he enjoys and likes walks in the nice garden. The food is home cooked and my father enjoys it very much. He takes a long time to eat and the staff leave him in peace to finish it. They contact me with any health concerns and the home is run very well and is always clean. The managers, deputy, caring and administrative and cleaning staff- all of whom are friendly and kindly.

A very caring home and the care given to my husband for two nights was fantastic. (highly recommended) Nothing was too much. I am hoping to take him back there for some more time in the coming months. The lady who is in charge and her deputy and all the staff were very friendly and caring and kind.
