For each review the care home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The care home / service receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating. Any Recommendation. Before the change from Recommendations to Reviews on 7th July 2015 all feedback was limited to Recommendations (ie positive comments only)
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
3 points for receiving the first Positive Review.
0.1 Point per Positive Review, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. (ie a care home / service requires 10 Positive Reviews to receive the maximum score of 1 point.)
(Number of Positive Reviews ÷ number of registered beds) x 2, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. ie a care home / service has to receive a number of Positive Reviews equal to half of the number of registered beds to obtain the maximum score of 1 point. eg a care home / service with 40 registered beds has to receive 20 Positive Reviews to obtain the maximum score of 1 point.
(For Adult Day Care Centres and Extra Care Housing which do not have a registered number of beds, 1) and 2) are replaced by the formula of 0.2 points per Review, up to a maximum score of 2 points. ie a listing needs 10 Reviews to receive the maximum score of 2 points

How Likely are the Reviewers to Recommend Lillibet House?
Reviewer Connection to Lillibet House
Review submitted from a Website Submission by LesleyB (Niece of Resident/Service User) on Wednesday 20 July 2016. Review relates to July 2016.
Staff ignored me when I arrived, no greeting at all, no questions asked. No mention of how my uncle was, felt like I was in the wrong place.
I arrived to find my uncle, sitting in an uncomfortable chair with no buzzer available, no staff on this floor, no one around. Equipment left in the middle of the room, was so old, it is a wonder it still being used.
Dinner, well that was the most disgusting plate of food I ever seen in my life. If you think a frozen chicken kiev, with gravy (so thin more like water), vegetables were colourless mush, and the mash potatoes slop. Other choice was faggots!!!!, are we in the war years again. For dessert tinned peaches. The food was left on the edge of a tray table, no one spoke to my uncle, just plonked it down, no serviettes, not asked if he needed anything cut up, mind you, he could not eat it anyway, but no concern from the staff at all.
Should not be allowed, when someone is frail and old, they need care , attention, kindness, did not exist .
How likely would you be to recommend Lillibet House? Extremely Unlikely

Care / Support: Very Poor
Treated with Dignity: Very Poor
Food & Drink: Very Poor
Staff: Very Poor
Activities: Very Poor
Management: Very Poor
Safety / Security: Very Poor

Charlotte Chesyre, Proprietor at Lillibet House responded to this review on 26 Jul 2016:
It is disappointing that Mrs Burke did not speak to either the Manager or the Quality Manager as both were in the building on the day of her visit. Even more surprising that, in view of what she maintains occurred, she did not contact the duty Social work Team to raise these issues and her concerns.
In view of this, the accuracy of the comments remains questionable and as no communication or comments were received on the day, the option to investigate is, unfortunately, no longer available. However, to ensure complete transparency, we have passed these comments on to the residents placement Social worker.
