Review of Oasis House, Bedford, Bedfordshire by Sue (Daughter of resident)
Thursday 18 April 2013
My mother stayed at Oasis House for nearly two months after being offered emergency respite care. The families initial reservations were quickly dispelled as we became aware of the excellent level of care she was receiving from a caring and compassionate team of staff. Mum was relaxed and comfortable in her surroundings and her individual needs were catered for in a patient and respectful way. As a large family who live quite some distance away we would sometimes visit in a group and were always welcomed with friendliness and good humour. Mum has moved on to a nursing home to be nearer her family who are grateful to the manager and her staff for taking such good care of her.

Review of Oasis House, Bedford, Bedfordshire by Elaine Urquhart (daughter of resident)
Tuesday 15 January 2013
My mother spent only a short time in this home before she unexpectedly passed away but in that time approximately two and a half months was treated with much care, consideration and respect. She was clean well attended physically and staff and management's positive attitude was refreshing. We had visited other care homes before choosing the Oasis and were horrified at standards elsewhere. I would recommend this home unequivocally for the care dignity and warmth extended not only to my mum but to the family when we visited. Mum was there over Christmas and the atmosphere was a happy one she was never alone which she had such a horror of. Dementia is such a distressing condition for not only the person suffering the condition but also for the family this care home goes a long way in supporting family visits as well as providing excellent care for their residents.
