Fernhill Lodge provides a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for older adults with learning disabilities. Located in a quiet residential area with the advantage of also being close to local amenities, including shops, leisure and arts centres, health centres and rail and bus links. All staff are committed to the care and development of each of the residents. Emphasis is placed on the individual, ensuring that their needs are met and rights maintained at all times. The cook provides a varied and nutritious menu developed on a weekly basis with the involvement of the residents and new ideas are always welcome. There is an Activity Room, which can be used for a variety of activities. Entertainers visit the Home on a regular basis, which a number of the residents particularly enjoy. Residents have access to the telephone to make their calls in private and support is given, if needed, to maintain family contact.
