Sunnycroft is located just a few minutes from Hedge End's Sainsbury's & M&S, yet backs on to open countryside. The home is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection to accommodate 19 older people, including those with dementia. Accommodation is offered in single bedrooms that have private toilet and washing facilities. Residents are encouraged to use their bedrooms and the communal areas throughout the day. They are welcome to install television sets and telephone lines in their rooms. Communal areas include a living room and conservatory with picture windows overlooking fields where deer and sheep roam freely. This view is shared by many of the bedrooms. We offer a wide choice at breakfast, a cooked meal at midday and a choice of sandwiches or hot snack in the evening. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served throughout the day. Specially designed menu options have been drawn up with the input of residents and are regularly reviewed to ensure satisfaction. The Home employs around twenty full- and part-time staff, led by Registered Manager Anna Rogers. Anna is a qualified social worker and holds the RMA. Many other staff have NVQ2 or 3 in Care. We have at least two carers on duty at all times, with extra support in the mornings and evenings. Our Managing Director is Vice-Chair of the Hampshire Care Association. Please visit our website. |
