Guysfield Care Home is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection to provide both short and long term care packages to elderly people. Our Home Manager Stephanie Cole, has successfully developed Guysfield to a highly reputable home with excellent inspection reports and high standards in all areas of operation.

General Description

Guysfield is an imposing building surrounded by beautiful rural countryside, and stands large ground of South facing landscaped gardens, with mature trees and shrubs and large areas of terracing where residents can sit and enjoy the rural views in changing seasons.

The home has been extended through the construction of two purpose built wings, which are adjoined by a large Victorian style conservatory designed in sympathy with the original architecture.

The home benefits from its’ elegant Victorian heritage, having been delightfully extended and converted to retain many original features, whilst ensuring every facility is available to provide a high standard in comfort and care.

There is a wide choice of communal accommodation, including a large Victorian style conservatory, 2 dining rooms, 1 sitting / dining room and 2 day rooms.

In respect of residents’ personal living space, we also offer a great deal of choice, including premium and standard bedrooms. We have 1 companion room and 48 single bedrooms, all of which have been individually decorated, have en-suite facilities and television points. Residents who wish to have a private telephone line installed in their room, are welcome to do so, but must be advised that they will be responsible, for all costs relating to this. All rooms have a call bell system and those upstairs are served by 2 passenger lifts.

Life at Guysfield offers choice and promotes independence. The home has developed a recreational therapy and activities programme, which is both inspiring and stimulating. We have dedicated and qualified staff who work with the residents, in delivering worthwhile and meaningful activities and therapies including, massage and aromatherapy, cookery, arts and crafts, reminiscence therapy, countryside walks, exercise classes, quizzes and crosswords, and sensory therapy. Participation is encouraged, however the frequency of participation is entirely at the choice of the individual.

If you are looking for a quality assured care home for yourself, a friend or family member, please contact our home manager Stephanie Cole for further information or to arrange a viewing.
