Mount Ephraim House has a distinguished and aristocratic history dating back to 1606. The home is an impressive, period building set on the top of Mount Ephraim. It overlooks the local common and town, which has many excellent shops, caf‚s and restaurants. It has delightfully well-kept, sheltered gardens and walkways; also much of the interior is classical with carved wooden ceilings and panelled walls. The home has a comfortable and spacious drawing room looking out onto the main lawn and bird-tables. In addition there is a library and an activities room overlooking the enclosed, rear garden, patio and water-fountain. Mount Ephraim House has a total of 38 bedrooms, several with en-suite facilities. Each room is fully furnished to a high standard; they are also equipped with a call bell system, TV point, easily accessible light switches and plug sockets. In addition, the home has a number of assisted bathrooms/shower rooms. The Cooks and their team are committed to providing interesting and nutritious meals. They always offer a wide choice of dishes and the menus are reviewed regularly and can cater for personal favourites and special or medical diets. A highly dedicated and experienced team of managers and staff ensure that each person is given the very best standard of care around the clock. Residents are treated with kindness and understanding and are encouraged to lead as full and independent a life as possible. Individual cultural and religious needs are respected. Social and creative activities are organised for residents, and they are at liberty to participate in these or not; regular outings and entertainment are also arranged. |
