The Lady Nuffield Home is a small residential home for elderly men and women.

We aim to provide a high standard of care, based on the individual needs of the resident whilst enabling them to remain as independent as possible.

Our experienced Care Staff provide 24 hour personal care in comfortable surroundings with dignity. The building has been well adapted to suit the needs of the less mobile person whilst maintaining the essential charm of the mainly Victorian architecture and decor.

Meals are prepared by our chef from local, fresh produce and presented to the highest standards. Breakfast is served in the Residents room at 8.00am. A choice of main course menu is available at lunches and supper which is served in the dining room.

Residents occupy single rooms decorated and furnished to a high standard. Residents may bring their own items of furniture if they wish. Some rooms are en-suite and others have their own wash basin. An emergency call-bell system is installed to all rooms.

Strong links with the local community enable volunteers to visit and befriend residents. Regular activities, outings and entertainments are arranged by the Home.

Mrs Jenny Timbrell, our head of home, will be glad to meet you or a member of your family to discuss your needs. Short-term stays for convalescence or other breaks are sometimes available.
