Greathed Manor employs a highly qualified, experienced and dedicated team of staff who work closely with residents to ensure a continuously high standard of person-centred care. My mother Sheila was a resident from April 2014 till her death in May 2015. She had complex medical needs and dementia with Lewy's bodies which meant that she needed 24hr nursing care. She had always been adamant that she would not go into any sort of a home so it was with extreme trepidation that I arranged for her to live at Greathed Manor. She had a lovely bedroom with three large windows with views of fields with rabbits, pheasants and deer to watch. The living rooms downstairs were wood panelled and arranged like a beautiful private house which was very important to her. Her medical needs were very well looked after by the extremely competent and experienced medical care team. But the thing that makes Greathed Manor such a special place is the quality of the staff. Without exception they all work really hard to ensure that everyone has the best life that they can. I visited my mother every day so had a really good opportunity to see how the residents were treated. There was a lot of laughter and genuine affection between the staff and the residents. I never regretted the decision for Mummy to move there. She was very happy and loved her carers and appreciated their kindness and care. I will always be grateful to them for all they did for her and for their support and kindness to me when Mummy died. She could not have been treated with more love and respect. I regularly recommend Greathed Manor to friends and have no hesitation in doing so.
