A leaflet or guideline booklet would be helpful as reference for visitors: when to visit, how to book appointments, what is expected, how to make the most of visits, what needs to be bought, how the home runs (meal times etc).

Our mum has been treated fantastically, thank you. More seating areas would be nice. Easier access to the garden.

The staff at Hare Lodge have always been very helpful with any enquiries I have made in regard to my husband. He is kept clean and well dressed each day I visit. They are very respectful to, especially as he is suffering from vascular dementia and is not able to converse. I therefore feel I could recommend the care home.

I consider us lucky that my husband has been put in this home. It has a pleasant atmosphere. The staff are kind and friendly. My husband seems quite happy and settled, he eats well and has a nice large room. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone who asked my opinion.

My husband has had the best care from the kindest staff he could get anywhere. We have been kept well informed of his condition and we have been treated with great respect. Now near the end of his life he is treated with great care and affection.

Review of Quinnell House on Monday 1 October 2012 by Patricia Webb (Daughter of Resident)

My father has only been a resident one week but I have found all staff welcoming and friendly. My father has clean clothes each day. We have a tray of tea and biscuits each visit. I joined him for a harvest service taken at a local church, he loved the singing. I can visit anytime. The dining tables look attractive and there is comfortable seating in the lounge plus a conservatory. Dementia is depressing but made easier with understanding staff.
