Thornbury is located in a quiet area of Uckfield, close to the high High Street and all its amenities - shops, post office, banks, churches, library and leisure centre.

The home provides short and long term care and accommodation for up to 19 residents.

Staff are highly trained and are committed to providing the best possible care to residents in a homely environment. Individuals are treated with disnity and and encouraged to maintain their independence where possible.

Accommodation is provided in single rooms, all of which have a television and telephone point. Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and possessions.

Also available is a communal lounge with a video and television. There is also a conservatory overlooking the garden.

Meals are served in the central dining room and a nutritious, balanced and varied menu is available. A local organic supplier provides the fruit and vegetables.

Regular visits are made to the home by a hairdresser (weekly) and chiropodist.

Thornbury has an activities organiser several mornings a week - cards, dominoes, drawing, flower arranging, gentle exercise, quizzes, board games etc.
