I am writing to unreservedly endorse the excellent Royal Bay Residential Care Home in Aldwick Road. The kindness shown to my father during his stay was exemplary. The entire staff team generated a friendly, welcoming atmosphere making it an absolute pleasure to visit. All areas were well maintained and spotlessly clean. My father was always immaculate in appearance. The food was fresh and attractively presented offering an interesting and varied menu. There was a host of social activities and entertainment to suit all tastes and needs. Communication between nursing staff and the family was regular, clear and informative - which was particularly important as his health began to deteriorate. The nursing staff were professional and compassionate in their duties. The general staff ensured his daily needs were met in a cheerful, respectful manner. We felt blessed to have found a home where dad was treated as an individual and a valued human being. We quickly felt as if we were leaving dad with extended family as everyone there had time to chat to him, even on his grumpier days!!! It is hugely difficult to entrust the care of a loved one to others, but ours was such a positive experience that we felt we should share it.
