Review of The New Grange Care Home

All staff are of a caring nature, warm and friendly. It doesn't matter what day I visit/or what time of day, quality care is always being provided. It is not easy when a loved one moves into a residential home however. I do feel that mum is safe and is cared for and accepted. The main reason I'm happy to recommend The New grange is that mum is settled and happy living here. Thank you.

Review of The New Grange Care Home

We looked at quite a few care homes and were so impressed with the cleanliness, brightness, friendliness and caring manner of the staff that we looked no further. It was so much the right choice for my father-in-law and later for mother-in-law. We are able to pop in any time without prior notice and are met with a friendly, helpful staff every time. We couldn't have made a better choice.

Review of The New Grange Care Home

We first saw the New Grange in December 2013 and was very impressed with the cleanliness, the condition of the residents, the catering, and the caring actions of the staff. It was obviously a happy home. We were also impressed with Roni Alarilla his direction and care objectives. Our relative who has Alzheimer's was confused, anti social, could be aggressive, wanted to return to her own house. She neglected her personal appearance and hygiene. She still resented the fact that she had been taken to Horsham Hospital against her will under section. This was further complicated as shortly after she came to New Grange she fell and damaged her hip Joint this was January 2014. We have seen massive progress in her health state and condition since she arrived at the New Grange. Last Saturday we were delighted when we visited her. We arrived in the middle of a residents concert party. She greeted us wearing a silver bowler hat, singing and dancing. She was clean her hair done and she was wearing make up and looked well. She had made friends in the home and frankly we had not seen her so well and happy for many years. She said how happy she was and how much she enjoyed being at the home but she could not stay and talk to us as she was so busy. For the first time she did not want to come home and was content to stay at the home. Our sincere thanks and congratulations to Roni and all the staff at The New Grange. Her quality of life has increased beyond measure thanks to the excellent care, good food, constructive activities and attention at the home. David & Liz Gee

Some of the staff could be a bit more understanding, where as other staff always go the extra mile. It does not matter what time you visit they are always pleased to see someone visiting loved ones. Overall I am well pleased that my mother is in this care home as it is not easy looking after people with dementia and basically they do this well.

Review of The New Grange Care Home

My husband has been in this care home for nearly 3 years. He is totally dependent on the care for all his needs. The staff are friendly, respectful and very caring. The home is managed by a first class team headed by Mr Ronni Alarilla and aided by his deputy Emma Harris. The care team really do care for their charges and often go the extra to make life better. Consideration and information for relatives and friends is much appreciated.

Review of The New Grange Care Home

My father has been resident for ten months, He settled in very quickly. We always find him very clean, tidy, and dressed in his clothes (laundered regularly). He is happy on most days and considers it to be his home. If he does have a bad day the staff respect his wishes and allow him to have his own space. He enjoys his food very much.

Mum has actually seemed more mentally alert since moving into The Grange, she also seems to be remembering things better. The Care Plan that was immediately put in place to for her is very thorough. All the staff are very caring and friendly. We are made to feel very welcome every time we visit and given tea etc (in lovely china!) Mum always looks smart, clean and cared for. She is encouraged to form suitable friendships. We are able to visit anytime and take her out if we want to.
