Review of Walstead Place Care Home with Nursing

Some years ago my Aunt Margaret Lister Williams and recently my Uncle Henry Gordon Rogers. Gordon was unfortunately only resident for a short period before he passed away, but commented on how nice everyone was. he was unable to take advantage of the facilities available. His niece was very appreciative of how well he was looked after in his frail state. My aunt was resident for considerably longer, and was very complimentary of Walstead. She was formerly a nurse and was convinced Walstead was the best home she was aware of.

Review of Walstead Place Care Home with Nursing

This place has a very friendly atmosphere. There are no 'odours' connected to old people. My husband was very happy and had no adverse comments. The staff obviously are keen and happy in their jobs. Walstead is an excellent care home.

Review of Walstead Place Care Home with Nursing

Its good reputation preceded this care home choice. the care home, in its rural setting is easily accessed. It still has the feel of the country house it once was, as it had seamlessly converted into a hotel. Ease and comfort are evident inside. Staff are unfailingly helpful and kind, with not only a welcome but a smile, being happy and enjoying their work. This care home is inclusive and comprehensive in all it does for its residents whose home it is. with a wonderful array of daily activities, the care home has close and vibrant links with the local community. It is safe, secure and in pleasant grounds. Good nursing care is available. With little exception, first impressions are very favourable.

Review of Walstead Place Care Home with Nursing

As soon as I walked into Walstead Place I was very impressed by the ambience and atmosphere and knew immediately it was the place where my Mum would be happy. I have had many long conversations with the management; they listened to me patiently and offered excellent impartial advice at a very difficult time when I really needed it. Walstead Place offers the best possible care in a beautiful historic environment. It is the perfect place for my Mum to live, offering dignity, excellent medical care and, importantly, providing a stimulating environment for her. Family and friends can visit at any time - very important for such a sociable lady as my Mum.

Review of Walstead Place Care Home with Nursing

Following surgery (hysterectomy) in Brighton on 19th August, I came here on 21st Aug - absolute bliss! Very comfortable accommodation, kind and caring staff who are all very helpful. I appreciated the individuality - tailored to suit the wishes and needs of myself and others here. Most residents needed as much stimulation as possible and although I personally did not take much part I applaud the efforts made to entertain and interest everyone. This is a beautiful home with a tranquil rural setting. Full marks.

Review of Walstead Place Care Home with Nursing

The last three months have been extremely difficult for us and the whole team at Walstead Place have been kind, supportive, engaged, efficient and totally dedicated to looking after Joan to the highest standards. In the process they also showed us as a family considerable kindness and understanding, always available to discuss any concerns and involved in trying to help Joan as much as possible. We cannot recommend them highly enough - they offer exemplary care.
