This building was purposely built for the needs of the elderly. Thus it works very well. The security is good and they try very hard to involve residents in activities. There is also a hairdresser on site every Thursday. I highly recommend this home.

The strength of this home is its carers. They are unfailingly kind and patient. Nothing is too much trouble. They are mostly Romanian and speak very good English. We have resident's meetings every few weeks and the manager do their best to comply with the wishes of residents. There are a number of residents with dementia and this causes the odd problem when they stray into rooms not their own!

Dorrington House Home wells Has provided a very good care for my mother who has dementia and it takes a great deal of time and patience to care for my mother, staff are outstanding and the quality of care is excellent.

The home was purpose built just over 4 years ago, it has 38 single rooms all with en-suite toilet and washing facilities. All the staff, although hard pressed at times, are extremely kind and caring and show a great deal of respect to the residents, probably the most important thing when looking for a care home for a loved one. I would recommend Dorrington House, Wells-next-the-Sea to anyone seeking a good care home.

Well maintained comfortable accommodation, my father in law has a very nice well looked after room. However my main reason for recommendation is the attitude of the staff. They are extremely pleasant, welcoming and cheerful. They care for the residents really well; both care staff and administration staff. They are the home's biggest asset.
