The Review Score of 9.456 for St Anne's is based on 12 Reviews/Recommendations in the last 2 years.

  • The Review Score (maximum of 10) is made up of a Quality Score (maximum of 5) and Quantity Score (maximum of 5):

    • Quality Score: 5 Points are available for the average rating. For each review the care home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The care home / service receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating. (Please note that the ratings of Very Poor and Poor have only been available since the change from Recommendations to Reviews on 7th July 2015.)

      The Quality Score (average rating) of 4.729 for St Anne's is calculated as follows: ( (108 Excellents x 5) + (33 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 144 Ratings = 4.729

      • Any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this care provider to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

      • Any Recommendation. Before the change from Recommendations to Reviews on 7th July 2015 all feedback was limited to Recommendations (ie positive comments only)

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

      1. 3 points for receiving the first Positive Review.

      2. 0.1 Point per Positive Review, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. (ie a care home / service requires 10 Positive Reviews to receive the maximum score of 1 point.)

      3. (Number of Positive Reviews ÷ number of registered beds) x 2, up to a maximum score of 1 Point. ie a care home / service has to receive a number of Positive Reviews equal to half of the number of registered beds to obtain the maximum score of 1 point. eg a care home / service with 40 registered beds has to receive 20 Positive Reviews to obtain the maximum score of 1 point.

(For Adult Day Care Centres and Extra Care Housing which do not have a registered number of beds, 1) and 2) are replaced by the formula of 0.2 points per Review, up to a maximum score of 2 points. ie a listing needs 10 Reviews to receive the maximum score of 2 points

The Quantity Score of 4.727 for St Anne's is calculated as follows:

      1. 12 Positive Reviews = 3

      2. 0.1 x 12 Positive Reviews = 1.200 (maximum score = 1)

      3. (12 Positive Reviews ÷ 33 Registered Beds) x 2 = 0.727

Our mum 89 years has lived in St Anne's for the last 9 months. She has a great quality of life there. Management and staff are friendly and kind, always have time to listen, respect residents and their families. Food is excellent, huge choice of meals. Very clean. Day trips out, BBQ, singers. hair and nails on Tuesdays., activities everyday. Lovely gardens, safe and secure. Rooms have a large bathroom, fridge, sink, wardrobe, large storage cupboard, and kept very clean. It's like a 5 star hotel.

As I only visit my sister when it is possible, as I live on the Isle of Wight, but what I see when I visit seems to me to be all in order as I have ticked the boxes below. I have no real recommendations to make.

We feel completely confident in the care which is given to our mother. When she was hospitalised, we were extremely concerned that it would be difficult to find a care home where she was truly 'cared for'. Where her needs would be really catered for - even the tiny but important ones. St Anne's is such a special place - the staff really 'know' their residents and really do 'care' for them. We're so glad she is there.

My father no longer worries about bills, cooking, household chores, home maintenance or loneliness. His health is monitored constantly, I know he is safe, well fed, comfortable and happy. I am kept well informed of his care; if he doesn't want company then he can retire to his room with his own facilities. He can eat when he wants and has a choice of menu. The staff are always caring and enthusiastic. There is a lot of singing and dancing, birthday parties and general joyfulness. All types of events and day trips are organised. If I should need care in the future, I know that St Anne's would be at the top of my list. Thank you St Anne's.

St Anne's is a wonderful, purpose-build care home with lovely staff. One of the best things about it is the garden, peaceful, colourful and carefully funded and open for the residents to enjoy at will.

This is a wonderful home for my father, he is well cared for and loves the food and varied menu options. All the staff are so jolly and it's nice for dad to have a say in what he does and eats. The entertainment is superb and often includes family of the residents and a cup of tea is always offered for visitors. St Anne's is a super clean home and not a hint of odour, the flats are roomy and light.
