Review of Pine Trees Care Centre

My husband has resided there since January. The excellent care he has received in addition to the first class service has enabled him to settle in, nothing is too much trouble with regard to all his needs, plus the excellent compassionate care so readily offered not only to him but also to family, friends who visit regularly.

Review of Pine Trees Care Centre

All residents here have rooms on the ground floor so there are no nasty staircases to negotiate. The rooms are nicely furnished and residents can personalise their surroundings if they wish. Most are en-suite or have modern bathrooms close by. There is a large lounge and sun room and a central dining room. There is a choice of menu and excellent meals with afternoon tea and cakes each day. My mother is vegetarian and the catering staff go out of their way to present her with a tasty meal. All of the carers look after the residents well and really make an effort to understand their needs. A close eye is kept on their overall health and district nurses and doctors call in with support. There is a cheerful atmosphere at Pine Trees and this is encourages by all who work there. The activities programme is good with cooking, quizzes, bingo, craft work, current affairs talks and (to my mother's delight) gardening. We are welcome to visit at anytime and take mother out on trips. Pine Trees has a mini bus and also takes the residents on day trips to local parks and on Christmas trips. We can join in on any of the fun days and share the family atmosphere. My mother is frail but her health has improved since being here and she feels safe.At times I can see the old twinkle back in her eyes which is so uplifting. Good leadership comes from the top and I say a big 'thank you' to the Management of Pine Trees for maintaining such an excellent place.

Review of Pine Trees Care Centre

The home smells pleasant! Our mother Phyllis has been a resident at Pine Trees for the last 18 months. Her family visit once or twice everyday. Mum is not at all mobile and quite poorly and as a family we regularly feed her. We are impressed with the lunch meals, as they are of a high standard, and are just like the homemade food mum was preparing herself for her family. I have noticed also that the staff are very caring, one (Gemma) visited mum in hospital last weekend on her day off. Also the same carer sat with mum and held her hand when she was trying to comfort her. This was seen when we visited unexpectedly.
