The Hyde Residential Home offers a range of care to older people, including respite and convalescence care, as well as Parkinson’s and palliative care. A listed building, the Hyde has restored Victorian gardens, which residents are encouraged to enjoy. Most bedrooms have ensuite facilities and some are large enough to allow two residents to share accommodation, if desired.

An organic kitchen garden provides a wealth of fresh produce that is used as often as possible in meal preparation. The stylish dining room that overlooks the gardens is popular at mealtimes for those who wish to socialise, or residents may choose to eat in their own bedrooms.

The home encourages residents take part in a wide variety of activities on offer, including gardening, painting and croquet. Shopping trips and visits to local places of interest are arranged regularly by the home’s activity coordinator.

Review of The Hyde Residential Home

During the nineteen years that my aunt resided at The Hyde the care and continued devotion carried out by all the staff was of an exceptional standard. One could liken the general atmosphere and environment at The Hyde to be that of a happy family amongst loved ones. I would unreservedly recommend The Hyde without hesitation.

Review of The Hyde Residential Home

My mother was a resident for 5 1/2 years, she was very happy and well cared for. When she caught shingles she was very poorly for 3 months and I am sure would have died but for the care and attention she received in 2012/3. In April 2014 she had a stroke and died 10 days later, during that period the carers stayed with her, day and night, sometimes unpaid. They were so caring and wonderful.

Review of The Hyde Residential Home

My mother has been a resident since Mid 2008 when she was made very welcome. She has been very happy there enjoying, the extensive pretty gardens and very caring service. The staff are well trained and mostly experienced. Personal hygiene is a good standard and she is treated with dignity. There are activities for those that want it, but all are encouraged.

Review of The Hyde Residential Home

Both my parents moved into the Hyde in 2009 and took up residence in a double room which was large, beautifully furnished, en-suite and had fantastic views over the extensive grounds. Sadly my father's health declined shortly after they arrived but the care, treatment and kindness with which he was treated by all the staff was outstanding. They could not have done more for both him and my mother. Dad passed away in 2011 and my mum continues to live there - now in a very nice single en-suite room. The Hyde might not be the cheapest care home around but I can guarantee it is one of the best and anyone thinking of moving either themselves or a relative to live there will not be disappointed.
