Situated approximately one mile to the west of Ringwood, a pleasant market town on the edge of the New Forest, St.Ives House is a twenty-three bedroomed residential home providing a high standard of care and comfort for the elderly.
Priority has been given to creating a warm and tranquil atmosphere in St.Ives House. Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished to the highest standard, public rooms are airy and spacious with TV/Video in the drawing room. All bed-sitting rooms have vanitory basins and a call system. Most have en-suite facilities. Every room is close carpeted, centrally heated and fully furnished though many residents choose (and are encouraged) to bring their favourite furniture, pictures and other belongings. A lift is installed for the convenience of residents living in upstairs rooms.
Adjoining the main house are six self-contained flats, each equipped with it's own bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and small kitchen. Residents are free to cater for themselves as far as they wish or alternatively may prefer to take meals with other residents in the dining room.
All residents have early morning tea, breakfast and evening drinks served in their rooms. Morning coffee and afternoon tea are served in the lounge and lunch and supper are taken in the dining room. Nutritious meals are provided and prepared in our modern and well equipped kitchen along with any special dietry meals.
The monthly residential fee covers all routine expenses of living including the laundering of personal effects. Supplementary services such as the provision of personal newspapers and magazines, hairdressing, chiropody, beauty therapists etc., are for the account of the individual resident. Purchases of such items as toilet requisites, stamps, chocolates etc., can be arranged on request. The mobile library service calls regularly.
