Hobbits Holt provides 24-hour care for adults with learning disabilities. Situated in a quiet residential area with off road parking and no main roads. A key philosophy is that the residents are able to live as independent individuals within a residential setting. The house and decor is reflected in the resident’s personalities and lifestyle and is shown throughout the house and gardens. Throughout the day, a senior member of staff and two care officers are always on shift. Throughout the night, waking care officers are on duty and a senior member of staff is on call. Hobbits Holt provides a varied activities programme, planned in consultation with the residents including a wide variety of college courses, swimming and horse riding. Day trips are also organised and include shopping, music festivals, local attractions and the seaside.
