Review of Dunley Hall & Ryans Court, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire by Guy Wigley-Smith (Son of Resident)
Wednesday 6 March 2013
Sadly my mother passed away on 3rd March 2013 at Dunley Hall. I was at her bedside and had been so for the previous 36 hours or so. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their love, care, dedication, professionalism and support that my mother and I received. They constantly checked on Mum, made sure she was as comfortable as possible, talked to her, reassured her and reassured me. When Mums time came to leave us, the staff were there to support me, although it was mutual support. I don't think that Mum could have been in a better place. She was loved and it showed. I must also highly praise the 'girls' who washed, dressed and laid Mum out - it was truly beautiful and I cried so much when I saw her afterwards. What a terribly hard thing for them to do but it was done with so much love, care and attention. I, for one know just what a wonderful place Dunley Hall is and just what a truly amazing staff that works there. Thank you everyone for making Mums time a lovely one. You are all worth your weight in gold, and then some. Thank you - Guy W-S

Review of Dunley Hall & Ryans Court, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire by Guy (Son of Resident)

My mother, an Alzheimers sufferer has been at Dunley Hall for 2 years following a move from a Redditch care home. Although her condition has deteriorated significantly in those 2 years the care has not. I cannot speak too highly of the staff who treat my mother wonderfully well. I can visit at any time and nothing is hidden from me. Mum is always clean and tidy and that is down to the meticulous care and attention paid by the staff and is also indicative of the management ethos. Although Mum no longer recognises me and is incapable of coherent speech, I can tell that she is happy and contented. When there has been the odd incident requiring medical care, the staff have been very quick to react in summoning help and in contacting me to keep me appraised of the situation. Very professional. All I can say, is that having the knowledge that ones mother is being so well cared for by such dedicated and caring staff is very reassuring.
