My mum went into Holy Cross for temporary respite care when my Dad was in Hospital. As he sadly passed away, it soon became clear that she was receiving the most amazing level of care and that HC was likely to become her permanent home. Whilst the outward appearance of the home is not the slick 5 star hotel look of some places, it has a warm, comfortable and homely feel. I cannot compliment the carers enough. They are all angels, with endless patience, compassion and amazing sense of fun. This is comparison to the level of 'care' my Dad received in hospital, which unfortunately was very similar to the reports that came out of the review of Staffordshire hospital. Jane, the owner, is a lovely kind lady who allows elderly residents to keep their pets and makes numerous visits to the vets as a direct consequence!! I cannot recommend HC highly enough to anyone who is worried about placing an elderly relative in residential care. My Mum is very happy and it is such a relief to entrust her to such wonderful people!!
