Gildawood Court Care Home is located close to the centre of Nuneaton, in Warwickshire. Nuneaton in the northeast of Warwickshire. Once a small hamlet listed in the doomsday book, is now a lively modern town. Its most famous ex-resident was Mary Ann Evans, or George Elliot. Many of the civic buildings and indeed the area around are named after her. On the edge of the Warwickshire coalfield, and with its textile industry developing, the town grew rapidly following the industrial revolution and further developed with the growth of manufacturing in Coventry and Birmingham.

Gildawood Court is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide both short and long term care to elderly people who suffer with dementia and require help and support with daily living, but do not require nursing intervention.

Gildawood Court is a purpose built care home designed to provide the highest standards of care and facilities. The Court is tastefully decorated and furnished to create a gracious, elegant and comfortable environment. Of paramount importance and something that we never forget is that Gildawood Court is home and as such is always open to friends and relatives.

Although Gildawood is a relatively large care home, it is split into 2 areas, the Court and the Annexe, both of which are self contained and operate individually.

Review of Gildawood Court Care Home

Open visiting so nothing to hide, creating a trust that residents are being treated correctly. No agency staff and long service from many staff so comfortable working environment. Comfortable and happy feeling in the home and residents treated with respect and compassion. Dealings with staff on all levels very good and always helpful. Very clean, pleasant smell - can't fault any aspect of cleanliness and personal hygiene. Good catering facilities and home cooked food. Excellent value for money.

Review of Gildawood Court Care Home

dad had started day care at Gildawood when my mum had an accident at home which proved fatal. During this time Gildawood supported the family by looking after Dad, they exceeded all expectations. Since that terrible period in our lives, dad has become a permanent resident and I cannot think of a better place for him. The staff are caring, food excellent and accommodation very good. I dont know we would do without them.

Review of Gildawood Court Care Home

I would definitely recommend Gildawood Court to anyone. I would not put my mum in a home which I would not go into myself. The staff are second to none they are friendly, very caring and proficient. Care, kindness and keeping residents clean comfortable and happy is most important which is what the staff do at Gildawood. Care homes could always do with more staff so that the residents could have one to one care at all times and 24 hours cleaners. That's a perfect world.

Review of Gildawood Court Care Home

Nice clean home, very friendly staff, considerate to my mother. She has the best of care and continuity in that care. All the rooms have there own ensuite which to my mind is essential. Outings are arranged for in the summer for those able to go. My mother had her 100th birthday in November and the staff and family put on a party for her. Nowhere is the same as home, but when you have to make a decision to place anyone in care, Gildawood Court ticks all the boxes.

Review of Gildawood Court Care Home

The home is well looked after, my dad is always happy, If I have any concerns the staff always help or advise. The food is always good however there is room for improvement occasionally there is an unpleasant odour however the home have assured me that this issue is being dealt with. The staff are truly brilliant they always have time to talk and my dad obviously likes all of them even though his dementia is now getting much worse and can be difficult at times.

Review of Gildawood Court Care Home

Dad went to Gildawood when the family were in crisis as Mum was taken ill suddenly. The management and staff were excellent in helping and support Dad. Mum passed away since then and we have had to cope with a difficult family situation but Gildawood have supported Dad very well and managed the family in a sensitive way. Dad could not be in a better place.

Review of Gildawood Court Care Home

Gildawood is a very happy and pleasant place to be in, the staff are very friendly and helpful, all staff and relatives on first names. My mother celebrated her 100th birthday on the first of November, we had a lovely party the staff were great. We were worried at having to put mum in care and manager to keep her in her own home until the age of 98, her move to Gildawood went very smoothly. My brother and myself would recommend Gildawood to anyone.
