Gildawood Court is located close to the centre of Nuneaton, in Warwickshire. Nuneaton in the northeast of Warwickshire. Once a small hamlet listed in the doomsday book, is now a lively modern town. Its most famous ex-resident was Mary Ann Evans, or George Elliot. Many of the civic buildings and indeed the area around are named after her. On the edge of the Warwickshire coalfield, and with its textile industry developing, the town grew rapidly following the industrial revolution and further developed with the growth of manufacturing in Coventry and Birmingham. Gildawood Court is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection to provide both short and long term care to elderly people who suffer with dementia and require help and support with daily living, but do not require nursing intervention. General Description Gildawood Court is a purpose built care home designed to provide the highest standards of care and facilities. The Court is tastefully decorated and furnished to create a gracious, elegant and comfortable environment. Of paramount importance and something that we never forget is that Gildawood Court is home and as such is always open to friends and relatives. Although Gildawood is a relatively large care home, it is split into 2 areas, the Court and the Annexe, both of which are self contained and operate individually. In the Court, there are 35 well appointed single en-suite rooms, which are supported by extensive communal living accommodation, including a number of light and spacious day rooms and dining room areas, there is also an attractive conservatory area which is surrounded by and enclosed courtyard garden. Within the Annexe there are 25 well appointed single en-suite bedrooms located over 2 floors, the annexe has modern communal living areas, which include open plan living, dining and kitchen areas which are most convenient for providing our residents with meals and drinks throughout the day. For its central location, Gildawood Court stands in large gardens, which surround the home, providing an attractive outlook to most areas of the home. We benefit from being located next to a modern purpose built General Medical Practice, who serve our residents, although many of our residents wish to retain the services of their own GP and are most welcome to continue in this if their GP will provide support to them whilst they are resident at Gildawood Court. Our experienced and qualified care staff have undergone specialist training to help them to support elderly people with dementia, through an in-depth understanding of all aspects of care for people suffering with dementia. Care is provided through 24 hours a day, and conveniently located call bells ensure that a member of staff is always readily available. If you are looking for a dedicated dementia care home for yourself, a friend or a relative please contact our home manager Johann Madejowska for further details or to arrange a viewing of this reputable care home. |
