Ashfields Care Home is just a quarter of a mile from Heanor town centre, on the Mansfield Road, close to shops and public transport. We are four miles from both Ripley and Ilkeston, and ten miles from Nottingham.

We provide exclusively single ensuite bedrooms. There are six rooms in the original house, and the remainder are all ground floor purpose built rooms, many with patio doors. The building has been cleverly designed so that many rooms open to a series of courtyards, gardens and pretty landscaped paths which provide secure and sheltered outside space for your enjoyment. Ashfields is located close to the centre of Heanor close to public transport, and is a highly regarded luxury environment for retired people.

All our rooms have private direct-dial telephone, television points, a lockable facility for valuables, a nurse call alarm and smoke detectors.

We provide personal (Residential) care to older people on a long term, convalescent and short stay basis. Twenty-four hour cover is provided by a qualified, experienced and committed care team specifically recruited for their sensitivity, dedication and professional expertise in this area of care. All specialist equipment is available.

All Majesticare’s Homes put Residents’ choices first, and at Ashfields you are free to eat your meals in our dining rooms or in your own room. We are happy to provide meals for visitors as well. Our fresh home-cooked food is nutritionally balanced and we cater for special requirements such as vegetarian or soft foods.

At Ashfields we have a dedicated activities organiser who arranges a lively social calendar including arts, entertainment, exercise, trips such as shopping, and events in the Home. We also arrange regular visits from Hairdressers, chiropodists, dentists, opticians, local GP’s, and a range of other professionals.
