Review of Long Meadow, Matlock, Derbyshire by Lisa Cooper (Daughter of resident)
Tuesday 7 August 2012
My mum was a resident at Meadow View from February 2009 until she passed away in November 2011, the care she received was exemplary. The decor was very tired but always clean and the staff were fantastic. During Mum's last days she could have been admitted to hospital but we preferred her to stay there and the staff wanted to care for her with some even coming in on their day off to see how she was, they not only took care of Mum but of us too. The residents really mean something to the staff and they cried with us as they loved her too. One member of staff in particular researched on the internet and in books and together with the GP got Mum off some of the medication that was no longer relevant, improving her quality of life... Albeit for a short time. I would, and do recommend anyone to trust the care of their loved ones to Long Meadow.
