Barnfield Manor prides itself on the care and attention given to residents and their families. Carers & Nursing teams concentrate on getting to know you and your loved one, enabling us to look after physical needs and more importantly delivering what emotional support you and your family need.
We accept that choosing a care home is one of the most difficult decisions a family member or advocate can make and are here to help you through that decision, through the move in and beyond.
Excellent care is the key objective of each of the team members. Caring for those who can no longer look after themselves is what they do best, with an approach that takes into account that although there will be aspects of daily care and activity that residents could not manage at home, carers continue to encourage independence wherever possible - thus enabling residents to make the most of what they can do on a daily basis.
We support an active lifestyle alongside professional care part of our core mission, we endeavour to ensure that both residents and visitors enjoy their time spent at the home. We have all of the usual benefits of a care home, including en suite rooms, excellent communal spaces and areas for our residents to enjoy quiet times.
We also offer excellent activities at the home, which offer stimulation and engagement to all of our residents. Our activities co-ordinator works with individuals to ensure that we offer activities that will suit each person and sometimes this means that one to one activity is more appropriate than group activities.
Along with the excellent care offered by our very experienced teams, we offer great support to our families too, many of our homes offer support groups and seminars on key subjects, such as support for those with family or friends living with a dementia. Other seminars are around funding care, lasting power of attorney or where end of life care and discussing wishes and wants with our loved ones. Don't hesitate to contact us to find out more.

Review of Barnfield Care Home on Thursday 8 May 2014 by Peter S (Husband of resident)
My wife is suffering from Semantic Dementia and when we were asked to find a care home for her I looked at in excess of 20 homes. I was most impressed by the quality of management at Barnfield and the layout of the premises and this convinced me that if I had to put trust in anyone to look after my dear wife, then these were the right people. To date I have not been disappointed.
