Oaklands care home is a specialist rehabilitation unit for adults recovering from mental health problems. A spacious home with lots of modern facilities, two large communal rooms where residents socialise and relax. The housekeeper prepares meals with help from the residents learning kitchen skills on that particular day. Residents plan and create their own menus, in the weekly resident’s meeting. Everybody gets the chance to shop for and prepare his or her own meal once a week. Oaklands has highly trained, experienced and motivated staff that work on a one-to –one basis with residents, building up good relationships based on knowledge and trust. Residents are encouraged to devise a daily programme made up of courses that will be beneficial for their future. These could consist of leisure courses, academic coursed and even some voluntary work. |
