Lansdowne Road is a Residential Care Home providing care for adults with learning disabilities. The Home is situated within easy walking distance of local amenities and consists of four units with most of the rooms having a view of the garden. Residents are made to feel comfortable in their surroundings, and are cared for by a team of friendly staff. The care staff are trained to deal with everyday occurences which residents may experience due to their disability. Staff also provide daily personal care for the less able residents, and encourage the more able to become more independent. A number of residents go to the local college or day care activities. There is ongoing assessment of the resident’s needs and essential lifestyle plans are reviewed and monitered.
