42-44 Lansdowne Road consists of two detatched properties situated in the heart of the local community offering adults with mild/moderate learning disabilties semi-independent living in a home-from-home environment. Self medication is encouraged in both houses upon assessment, as is budgeting their own finances. Regular meetings are held to encourage residents to voice their views on living within the Home, these are acted upon and minutes are taken. The staff support residents to maintain a safe, homely environment whilst enabling the residents to pursue an independent style of living with continued support for individual needs. A sleeping bedroom is sited within the Home for staff assistance during the night. The sleeping staff cover 42 Lansdowne Road during the night.
