Chevington House is situated on over half an acre of grounds in the ancient market town of Bourne on North Road, less than half a mile to the north of Bourne town centre. Bourne is situated on the north edge of The Fens at the centre of a triangle of towns formed by Grantham (North West), Stanford, (South) and Spalding (East). Bourne is reputed for being the birth place of the fashion designer Frederick Worth, founder of the Paris Fashion House. An elegant large detached Edwardian two storey property, it has been, for the most part, sympathetically extended over the years. Parking is available at the front of the property for approximately six cars over a gravel driveway. There are attractive gardens to the rear of the home with various mature trees and shrubs including a patio area. The most recent single storey extension was added in 1986. There are six (6) single rooms and one (1) double bedroom on the ground floor. In addition there are four (4) singles and two (2) double bedrooms on the first floor. The first floor is accessed by conventional stairs or by an elevating stair lift. |
