Review of Little Brocklesby House on Tuesday 28 August 2012 by Elaine C (Daughter of previous Resident)

Beautiful country house perfectly adapted for caring for residents. Rooms were large and well furnished. Meals were served in a dining room, napkins and flowers on tables. Staff were extremely kind, considerate and caring, nothing was too much trouble. Open hours for visitors. Entertainment provided for residents. Weekly hairdressers call.

Review of Little Brocklesby House on Wednesday 15 August 2012 by Jane Birkett (Daughter of late Resident (Eileen Wilson))

Mum lived at Little Brocklesby for the last 5 1/2 years of her life and had Parkinson's Disease. The care received from senior and junior staff was exceptional. The quality of care was second to none, her needs were met without hesitation. Her room was clean and tidy. Activities and entertainment were held on a very regular basis to keep her mind active and she enjoyed being with other residents. When she became terminally ill everyone continued to be outstanding and looked after her whatever her needs. Senior and junior staff took care of her with love, kindness, compassion and dignity. As a family we were all kept well informed of what was happening. Not only Mum's needs were met but ours also, at a very distressing time. Finally I can honestly say the choice of Little Brocklesby was one that neither Mum or the family regretted making. It was where she loved being, it was her home. We have nothing but praise for Little Brocklesby staff, and will always be grateful to them for making Mum's last few years very comfortable, in very loving surroundings.

Review of Little Brocklesby House on Tuesday 7 August 2012 by Grace F (Sister of Resident)

My brother has been in Little Brocklesbury for 3 1/2 years. He has been so happy and settled there. The staff and carers are so kind and thoughtful to residents and visitors alike. As he was born in Limber and lived there all his life it really is home from home. Events take place throughout the year to which the public are invited.

Dad has been lots better since being a permanent resident at Little Brocklesby House, much happier in himself because he now knows he is being looked after very well. It will soon be a year since he went into Little Brocklesby and we are happy he is being looked after and treated very well thanks to all the staff not forgetting the chefs. Review of Little Brocklesby House on Thursday 2 August 2012 by Michael Grant (Son of Residents)

Both my parents moved to LBH in October 2009 aged 90 & 91. My father was suffering from dementia and worsening, while my mother was developing it at the time of moving to the home. The home is not the most modern I have ever seen but it is in a lovely, peaceful setting and the Staff and Management are all excellent. The cleaning routines are meticulous, the food is very good and there are regular activities to encourage and involve the residents. Sadly my Parents both died within the last 12 months but I still support any events held at LBH because I so much appreciated the way my Parents were cared for during the 2 years + they were residents. I should also add that some Homes get negative press coverage for their charging policy. LBH always dealt with the financial aspects in a very tactful manner and gave my Parents excellent value for their money. Furthermore when speaking to the Managers about financial matters I always got the impression it was of secondary importance. Their main concern was always the welfare of the residents. This gave me and my family great peace of mind.
