Job Title: Home Manager
The 40 residents at he Poplars are looked after by a highly dedicated team of staff that include carers, administrators and ancillary staff. They are led by the manager who is supported by two Heads of Care and a team of senior Carers.
Maxine took over the role of Manager at the Poplars on 1 April 2013, having reviously managed the Trust’s Foxby Court care home in Gainsborough. She has over 20 years of experience working with vulnerable adults and children. Prior to working for OSJCT Maxine worked for Lincolnshire County Council as a Registered Care Manager for the Community Supported Living Team, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live an independent life in the community.
Maxine started her career as an administrator for the learning disability team in 1989, working for the West Lindsey NHS Trust. The Trust merged with Lincolnshire County Council and Maxine secured a post as Community Care Officer for the same learning disability team staying with the team until seconded into a Team Leader post for a Day Service in Louth Lincolnshire. This position led to her successfully becoming the Registered Manager of the Community Support Team.
Maxine holds NVQ Level 4 in Managing Care and the Registered Managers Award, along with many other qualifications that support her to ensure the residents receive the best care whilst at The Poplars. Maxine’s passion is to work with a Person Centred Approach whilst supporting vulnerable people to remain as independent as they possibly can.
Maxine sets high standards for her own conduct and performance and will expect the same of the staff team at The Poplars. As a result she is proud to say that every inspection from the Commission for Social Care Inspection Team and the now Quality Care Commission, in her previous role as Registered Care Manager, and her role as Manager at Foxby Court has resulted in excellent results from their Inspections.
