It is always a worrying time to place a parent in a care home and my sisters and I were apprehensive that we had done the right thing for our Mum who was very poorly at the time. I can honestly say that we couldn't have chosen better. The staff at Redclyffe are superb and cared for Mum during the last few weeks of her life as if she were one of their family. Nothing was too much trouble and Mum was always well cared for whenever we saw her. It has been a sad and difficult time for all of us but we were supported all the way through. The staff always had time to talk to us, bring us cups of tea and and work with us to do the best for Mum. Though she had little appetite during her last few weeks they tried their hardest to tempt her to eat, talking to her about what she would like then going out of their way to get it even though she would be unlikely to eat it anyway. I cannot stress enough how good they all were to Mum and to us and would say to anyone in the unenviable position of finding a care home for their parent, move heaven and earth to get them into this one!
