Review of Heywood Court Care Centre, Heywood, Greater Manchester by S Greatorex (Granddaughter)

We moved my Grandmother to this home in July 2012. The family felt that the two previous care homes that she lived in gave poor quality of care. Staff at Heywood Court have provided excellent care to my Grandmother and the atmosphere in the home is very warm and welcoming. My Grandmother greatly improved over the first few weeks and it was lovely to see her being well cared for by the staff. Staff keep family informed of any changes and are very supportive to residents and their families. I also like the fact that this home seems to have more staff than other homes which gives you confidence that they can meet the needs of the residents. If all care homes were like Heywood Court then no one would need to worry about getting dementia and having to live in a care home.... Other care homes should aim to have care and standards like here.

Unfortunately my mum Lilian died last week, I was with her at the time along with two of the carers, they were excellent, we were asked if my mum's health deteriorated would we like her to go to hospital? She was 93 years old & this was her home, so of course we wanted her to stay here, so glad we did, a lovely room & in the end my mum was very peaceful before she died. her health had not been very good for a year or two but all the staff at Heywood court took great care of her. Trying to avoid using names but please thank the two girls that were on duty on Thursday 11th oct at 19:30. they were great! Once again THANK-YOU.

Review of Heywood Court Care Centre, Heywood, Greater Manchester by Margaret Coupe (daughter of resident)

my mum was in another care home in heywood. She got out of there and was found on the patio, consequently she was very ill. I decided to move herto, heywood court, what a good choice I made. when she first moved in the doctor came to see her and said it was the end of life. The staff nursed her round the clock and now she is 100% better, unfortunatly she has lost the use of her legs. I couldnt ask for better care and would recommend heywood court 100%. All the staff from the cleaners to the carers are all great with the residents.
