Review of St Helens Hall & Lodge

My mum was admitted to the home approximately 4 weeks ago and my dad has since gone into respite there. Initially I looked at 7 other care homes and this was by far the best with a wonderful, settled feel to it. The management and carers have gone out of their way to assist us as a family. Nothing has been too much trouble and the residents seem happy and contented. It' s a beautiful home. Mum will have great long term care there. And there really are some fantastic people there, who really care about the residents. We feel as if mum is in very good hands. It even has it's own hairdressing salon and church. It is a pleasure walking into the building. Thank you !!!!

Review of St Helens Hall & Lodge

Mum was in care at St Helens Lodge for three years and received the best of care from all the staff there. She was very happy there and we were able to visit any time of day or night and were always kept informed if she was unwell or there was any change in her condition. The staff there felt like part of our family and took great care of mum and all the residents. We had looked at many care homes and as soon as we went to see St Helens Lodge and met some of the staff we felt straight away that this was the home where we felt mum would be happy and it also gave us great peace of mind to know that all was well. Mum celebrated her 100th birthday there and a lovely tea was laid on and a beautiful birthday cake made by the Lodge. 20 of her family were there and we all had a lovely afternoon. We would definitely recommend St Helens Hall & Lodge to anyone looking for a care home and all the family are so grateful for all the wonderful care she received.

Review of St Helens Hall & Lodge

The care home is only 5 years old and is very well designed. The room my wife had was very good with its own ensuite. The lounge and restaurant are excellent and food is very good. The staff are well trained and caring although they are very busy with their duties. There is a very good empathy with residents at all times. I cannot prise highly enough the way they do their difficult and poorly paid job. Listen a lot, and never had any qualms at all - ever.
