New Milton House is a purpose-built home close to Alsager town centre, and includes a specialist household, innovatively designed to support the needs of older people with dementia. New Milton House is very much a part of the local community, and the team makes every effort to ensure that there is a feeling of ‘home from home’ and a friendly atmosphere.

The home is part of the award winning CLS Group, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to care for older people. High standards of care are promoted across all sites, with extensive training and professional development opportunities provided to staff.

My old friend was 90 years old and in the last month of her life all the staff at the home went over board looking after her. She had lived there for over three years and she called it her "hotel". The staff were extremely friendly and caring about their residents. The home was always clean and tidy. At first when she went there they used to take her on little trips out, which she thoroughly enjoyed. If she wanted to join in there were all kinds of activities she could do. She particularly enjoyed the quizzes they had and also the entertainments they had. I can honestly say she really enjoyed living there and was extremely well cared for.

Thank you so much for this lovely review! It was a privilege to have your friend staying with us at New Milton House and our staff will be thrilled with this feedback that she enjoyed her time with us so much.

Lovely home set right next to a beautiful park. Particularly liked the meal arrangements in the Dementia Care Unit - just brilliant. Staff were always cheerful and were often outstanding, always showing empathy and understanding to residents and relatives. Many went well beyond the bounds of expectation, especially during my sister's final days, when their treatment of her, and us, was incredible. We will be forever grateful.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this feedback. Our staff will be most touched to read this. It was a privilege to care for your sister and we are delighted to hear that your experience of New Milton House was so positive.

My aunt, aged 95, has always refused to go into a care home but, although had always had lots of help with carers at home, there came a time after several falls at night (most vulnerable time) when there was no option for her. After only a short time it was obvious that it was the best decision she made. The staff and manager of the home are wonderful. Such a homely feel and nothing too much trouble. They take the time to get to know a person, their likes and dislikes and make them part of a family. Thank you. I now have peace of mind.

Excellent care staff are friendly makes you feel like part of the family for both resident and families visiting. Easy access at all times for visitors. The home is kept clean at all times, good décor in all areas. Very good location with nice views in the centre of town.

My mother, Jean Sullivan, needed to leave her care home to go into the dementia unit of New Milton earlier this year as she was getting worse with vascular dementia. The love and care she receives from all the staff, from the manager down to the young staff is quite remarkable and helps me to feel that she is happy and safe.

I feel that I have to write this review about New Milton House as I cannot rate it highly enough. My Mother spent just over three years living there and she was very settled, happy and content. Steve and all the fabulous staff could not do enough for her. She was always very well fed with home cooked meals, clean, thoroughly looked after and cared for and she could not have been in a better environment. She made a lot of friends in the time that she was there. Unfortunately she died early this year due to a stroke and Alzheimers, being nursed and cared for her round the clock a few weeks previous. Again, the staff were second to none, checking she was OK and making sure that she had everything she needed. She was treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

I cannot thank Steve and all the staff enough for their care and efforts in looking after my Mum. She certainly would have agreed with me.
