Moorings Retirement Home

The Moorings is our newest home, having taken it over in March 2008. In fairness, we had always viewed it as our main competition in the luxury care home market on the FYLDE Coast. So when the opportunity to purchase The Moorings came up, it was a simple decision for us to make. It was an 18 bedroom home with all rooms having private en-suite facilities, so it sat nicely with the profile we wanted to keep.

Whilst the facilities were in keeping with our long-term aims, we needed to make sure the care team were up to the high standards we have always set. To ensure that we had a team who shared our own values and principles, we placed several of our most trusted and long-term employees there in key positions. Some of these have worked for our company for 11 years.

There are 70% of this team holding an NVQ Level 2 in care or above, whilst 14% are working towards their NVQ Level 2. Of this number, several are holders of NVQ Level 3, two are holders of NVQ Level 4 and two are holders of the RMA.

This is a vibrant team who are working very hard to justify the trust we have placed in them. The atmosphere they have brought is one of trust and respect, where the needs of the resident come first.
