Review of York House, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire by Pamela Watkins (Daughter of Resident)

My Mother was very happy in York House. The staff were friendly and caring when Mum was ill they were more than happy to look after her. She looked on the staff as her friends which says a lot, and they were genuinely upset when she died. They made her last few days as peaceful and comfortable as possible.

I stayed at York House because at 91 I fell and broke my ankle. I couldn't cope at home as I am alone. While at York House I was scared but the staff have been like my family, they have cared for me like I am a queen. I have enjoyed everything. I have been treated very well and with respect. I enjoyed the food because I had someone to eat it with. The staff are always courteous and polite. I would come back here again if they will have me! (but not a tent in the garden!).
