The care team at Windsor Court not only looked after my dad, but looked after us his family too. The home was welcoming, clean and had a homely relaxed atmosphere. My dad who was not eating at home put weight on the week he was at Windsor Court. Staff researched his history and realised that one of my dad's life long friends was also a resident, the staff encouraged them to spend time together and my dad got a new enthusiasm for life enjoying the occasional pint with his best mate.

Like all daughter's I really didn't want mum to go into care, but having looked at other care homes I feel I have made the right choice. The staff are great with mum, her room is bright and always clean. If I have anything I'm not happy with I only have to mention it and its put right. Also the food is amazing, there's always fruit and snacks available. So all in all its a great home.

I came her for respite due to my husband being taken into hospital. It was my first time in a care home and I was pleasantly surprised on how the care home was. I would recommend this home to anyone and would visit again.

My sister Daisy first went for respite and it was decided later for her to become a resident. The manager and staff have been very caring to her and looked after her very well. The home is clean, comfortable and very friendly. They have provided some excellent activities recently, The Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Games to name but a few. Recently they made a lovely party for Daisy on her eightieth birthday with a cake and buffet for family and fellow residents, which was really appreciated by all.

Review of Windsor Court Care Home, Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire by Clare Walton (daughter of resident)
Tuesday 15 May 2012
When my dad was admitted to hospital then transferred to Windsor court, I was so upset dad had been so independent until his fall and lived alone with no social services at the age of 92. It was very hard to accept that dad would no longer be safe to go home. My first contact with Windsor court was a phone call from the manager. I was given much reassurance and all relevant information regarding the care home standards and how the care home cares for their residents. My father has had a very high standard of essential nursing care since his admission. As a family we have no complaints or concerns and for the first time for a long time we all have peace of mind. Dad does seem settled and contented I visit at all different times and always find the staff very friendly and helpful. At the present time dad does not seem to want to join in with any activities but there seems to be a variety of events.

My mother became a resident in March 2011 and she has been very well cared for. She enjoys the food, is always clean and treated with dignity and respect. As a family we have struggled to deal with my mum's decreasing mobility and the rapid deterioration of her memory. We have received excellent care and support and appreciate the wonderful staff.
