Review of Beech House Care Home, Barton-upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire by Wendy Liles (daughter of resident)
Wednesday 11 July 2012
I never imagined that a time would come when I felt happy to leave my mum, not even in the care of others. Her safety is important to me, her happiness is important to me, as is her health. And then she went to Beech House. Today, the staff at Beech House took residents (and myself) to their Hesslewood Home for a Fun Day. The weather may have been miserable but the staff and residents certainly were not. To all the staff who joined in, you have made the day so special and fun for us. And when we got back the other staff who had stayed behind were there, happy and smiling, supporting everyone. Perhaps I ought to add that you have made EVERY day special for us since Mum went to to live with you at Beech House. Thank you for giving Mum and myself so much help and for making us feel we are part of your big family. And thank you for giving me the wind beneath my wings that is allowing me to gain my life back again. Can I book my own room now?
