Norwood House

Residents experience high quality care in fabulous surroundings - the home has recently been redecorated and certainly has a "WOW" factor. It smells welcoming and happy when you walk in the door and the staff are always cheerful and happy, I enjoy visiting as it is a pleasure rather than a chore! There are lots of activities going on for the residents to join in with.

I would recommend Norwood House. The carers are very dedicated to caring for people, talking and interacting with them and treating them with dignity and respect. Dad only spent six months in their care, before he sadly passed away, but when ever you visited dad he was happy, clean and tidy, the staff were always very friendly and informed you of any problems. The management are always willing to help. The place just has a happy and calming atmosphere, the rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Dad was cared for in a safe, caring and homely environment.

I would like to recommend this care home to anyone who is making the difficult decision to move their loved one into a care home, particularly anyone suffering from dementia. My Dad sadly passed away after only 6 months at Norwood House, but during that time, he was cared for in a friendly atmosphere by amazing staff. I was particularly impressed with how quickly he settled in and how calm all the residents were. He was respected and maintained his dignity throughout his stay. The owner, manager and carers took time to get to know him and I was always kept well informed. Myself and my family were always made to feel welcome and I always left, confident that Dad was safe and being well looked after.

Norwood House

I would like to recommend Norwood House to any family that is looking for a care home for their loved one. My father has been there for 2 months now and has significantly improved in both health and mood. He is well fed and hydrated in a lovely, caring, homely environment. All of the staff really go the extra mile to accommodate their clients. The other residents are friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I am extremely pleased with my father's progress since he has been there. He is settled and I have confidence in the staff to take care of him, which is important to me.

Norwood House

My Grandma has lived at Norwood House for four months now and I can honestly say it's the happiest I have seen her in years. The level of care she is receiving is far superior to any of the other care homes she has been at previously. The staff are friendly, caring and do anything within their power to ensure my Grandma is healthy and happy. As a family we are very happy with the progress my Grandma has made whilst staying at Norwood House and would definitely recommend the care home highly.

Norwood House

While making the decision to place a loved one in a care facility is hard to face, Norwood House makes it bearable. My first impression was, rather than being a residential home, it appeared to be a B&B for seniors and those needing respite care. That initial impression hasn't changed. It is small enough that the care is individualized and the dedicated staff are truly compassionate. All needs are met in a timely and attentive manner and the atmosphere is truly more of a large family home than that of a residential facility.

I think myself very fortunate to have found this care home for my Mum. The staff are wonderful and treat all the residents with great care and respect and do everything they can to keep them entertained and happy. Norwood House has a lovely atmosphere, and all relatives are welcomed at any time (except very early or late in the day for obvious reasons), and we can even bring our dogs so that Mum can see them. I would certainly recommend Norwood House to anyone who is looking for a place for a family member. They could rest assured that their relative would be well looked after.

Norwood House

I have viewed many homes locally and found that this home was the most suitable for my mother. We had one or two days respite and found the staff very helpful and sensitive to her needs. My mum made many friends and decided that this was where she wanted to be with all her friends and many unlisted activities particular the arts and crafts provided to both entertain and keep her hands free from the effects of arthritis. She is very happy there and I am able to take her out and about without any problems. It is just like a home from home with Frieda living next door. The food provided is very appropriate and she can have as much as she wants and if she fancies something she just lets them know. it really does have a feel of home and families can visit at any time and are always made welcome.
