Very friendly staff, always made to feel welcome and given support from Pat and others. Clean home, food always looks appetizing. Residents are happy and all their needs catered for. A very well run organised care home that has their residents at the very centre.

My mother lived at Avala Park until she passed away recently, I cannot say enough about the care and kindness that was shown to my mother and our whole family. We were actively encouraged to help care for her and to be involved in all aspects of her life. Her time in the home was a happy one and she made good friends among staff and fellow residents.

Review of Avala Park Care Home, Morpeth, Northumberland by Marilyn M (Daughter of day attendee)

I visited Avala on recommendation from my fathers older persons social worker. I telephoned and was invited to look around the premises. Caroline the manager made me very welcome and I was very impressed with the staff on duty that day. My father has been a day time service user for approximately 3 months now and I am pleased that he is much brighter in himself when I pick him up to take him home. The atmosphere at Avala is friendly, helpful and caring and I would not hesitate to give my approval and recommendation to anyone needing either day care or full time care.

Having viewed quite a few homes, and my mother staying for respite care in a couple, I chose Avala Park because it was small and homely. The staff are very caring and kind. The standard of care is excellent. As a visitor you are always welcome and have access to your relative at any time. This care home is a safe and secure home for people who can no longer live on their own.

Staff very friendly and patient. Mother-in-law stayed here in August 2012 for respite and enjoyed it very much even though she can be a handful, the staff were great with her, 10/10 for putting up with mother-in-law. Mrs Defty is my main visit as she is a dear old friend of mine and I know she is cared for very well.

Review of Avala Park Care Home, Morpeth, Northumberland by Michael H (Son of Resident)
Friday 23 March 2012
My mother was admited to Avala Park in April 2010, for the past 2 years she has been looked after by pleasant, friendly and well mannered staff. There is a pleasant selection of comfortable rooms for residents, lounge, reception area, conservatory and spacious eating area, with two televisions for residents. Family and friends of residents may visit any time without prior notice, which is very reassuring. Well recommended.

I have always felt welcome and my mother received the best of care. Care team could not do any more. Not a posh home but a homely home with good food.
