Plas Bod Llwyd is situated in a beautiful setting opposite Ty Mawr Country park which is located between Cefn Mawr and Newbridge in Wrexham. Clwyd Alyn Housing Association has provided high quality care for older people since 2005. It has quickly developed an excellent reputation in meeting the needs of residents requiring day care, respite and long term accommodation. We are committed to encouraging maximum independence in our clients, who are involved in all aspects of the home.

Plas Bod Llwyd, providing high quality homely accommodation for 29 residents in 25 single rooms and 2 shared rooms, all with on suite facilities. There are 2 floors in which the bedrooms are located, with a lift providing access to the ground and first floor. Residents have access to 2 lounge areas within the home, one is designated for residents that wish to smoke.


Plas Bod Llwyd catering staff ensure a varied, interesting and healthy diet is available. The home has a laundry service, hairdressing salon, visiting chiropodist, dentist, optician and regular church services are held. Residents are encouraged to maintain their community links and hobbies, and we welcome the involvement of family and friends with ‘always open’ visiting. Many social activities are organised and the home has its own minibus.

We aim to maintain and enhance the residents’ level of independence and choice wherever possible. We encourage them to access all the activities and services available in the community. Residents actively contribute to planning programmes of activity both inside and outside the home. Each resident has their own care plan, which is reviewed regularly, and they benefit from personal support from our care workers. All resident areas feature a sophisticated nurse call system. The home is equipped with the latest fire detection and alarm systems. All of our staff are committed to improving the quality of life of our residents.
