There are 2 floors in which the bedrooms are located, with a lift providing access to the ground and first floor. Residents have access to 2 lounge areas within the home, one is designated for residents that wish to smoke.
Plas Bod Llwyd catering staff ensure a varied, interesting and healthy diet is available. The home has a laundry service, hairdressing salon, visiting chiropodist, dentist, optician and regular church services are held. Residents are encouraged to maintain their community links and hobbies, and welcome the involvement of family and friends with ‘always open’ visiting. Many social activities are organised and the home has its own minibus.
Aim to maintain and enhance the residents’ level of independence and choice wherever possible, encouraging them to access all the activities and services available in the community. Residents actively contribute to planning programmes of activity both inside and outside the home. Each resident has their own care plan, which is reviewed regularly, and they benefit from personal support from care workers. All resident areas feature a sophisticated nurse call system. The home is equipped with the latest fire detection and alarm systems. All staff are committed to improving the quality of life of residents.
