Chirk Court offers a warm, friendly and homely environment in which the wellbeing, care comfort and quality of life for residents is the primary objective. The home enjoys an excellent local reputation for high quality care, meeting the needs of residents requiring day care, respite and long term accommodation. Chirk Court has recently been newly furnished and decorated to the highest quality standards providing high quality accommodation, a communal lounge and hairdressers for 10 residents.
With over 23 years’ experience of providing high quality care and support, Chirk Court is anticipating to deliver a range of care services for its residents, by extending its services to meet the needs of residents living with dementia, which will include a new purpose built extension to provide a homely and secure environment for up to 56 older people; in addition to maintaining the current residential care services within the home. Work is currently underway and phase 1 of the new extension is due for completion at the end of 2015 and phase 2 is due for completion in spring 2016.
All staff are trained professionally and qualified appropriate to their respective roles. This includes specialist training in caring for people living with dementia. In addition, they undertake regular development training to ensure they remain responsive and are able to meet the resident’s needs.
Catering staff pride themselves in knowing the individual preferences and needs of residents and residents enjoy high quality, nutritious and varied selections of meals.
Their approach is person centred care, with focus on individual needs, care and support – to maintain privacy, dignity, independence and choice.
