Chirk Court is located in the attractive town of Chirk in Wrexham. The home has provided high quality care for older people since 1992. It has developed an excellent reputation over the years, meeting the needs of residents requiring day care, respite and long term accommodation. Chirk Court is purpose-built, providing high quality homely accommodation specially designed for the older person. The accommodation is located across in three units, each with its own lounge, dining room and kitchenette for self-catering snacks and drinks. A communal quiet lounge and a conservatory for those who may choose to smoke, is available.
Chirk Court catering staff ensure a varied, interesting and healthy diet is available. The home has a laundry service, hairdressing salon, visiting chiropodist, dentist, optician and regular church services are held. Residents are encouraged to maintain their community links and hobbies, and carers welcome the involvement of family and friends with ‘always open’ visiting. Many social activities are organised and the home has its own minibus.
Aim to maintain and enhance the residents’ level of independence and choice wherever possible. Encouraging them to access all the activities and services available in the community. Residents actively contribute to planning programmes of activity both inside and outside the home. Each resident has their own care plan, which is reviewed regularly, and they benefit from personal support from care workers. All resident areas feature a sophisticated nurse call system. The home is equipped with the latest fire detection and alarm systems. All staff are committed to improving the quality of life of residents.
