With over 23 years’ experience of providing high-quality care and support, Chirk Court is anticipating to deliver a range of care services for its residents, by extending its services to meet the needs of residents living with dementia, which will include a new purpose-built extension to provide a homely and secure environment for older people. Work is currently under-way and Phase 1 of the new unit is complete and Phase 2 is due for completion in spring 2016.
All staff are trained professionally and qualified appropriate to their respective roles. This includes specialist training in caring for people living with dementia. In addition, they undertake regular development training to ensure they remain responsive and are able to meet the resident’s needs.
Catering staff pride themselves in knowing the individual preferences and needs of residents who can enjoy high-quality, nutritious and varied selections of meals.
Their approach is person-centred care, with a focus on individual needs, care and support – to maintain privacy, dignity, independence and choice.
