Kirklea is a large mid-19th Century house located in the centre of Kilmarnock and provides care and support for adults with learning disabilities. The Home comprises 10 bedrooms, a large lounge with TV and Hi-Fi, a bright dining/ activities room with patio doors leading to our beautiful enclosed garden which also houses a cottage with two bedrooms and shower room for residents who are more independent. Promotion of independence is a major part of the Homes work with everyone actively encouraged to be involved in all decisions affecting their lives. There is a minibus available for countryside trips, visits to cinemas, theatre and entertainement centre. The in-house activities include art sessions, cooking lessons and musical entertainment. |
