Review of Pitkerro Care Centre, Dundee, Angus by Karen Ewing (Daughter of resident)
Friday 11 January 2013
My father has been living here for a few months , we were so worried about putting our father into a care home , but due to high demands from our father and his safety we chose it would be best, our father is well looked after by all staff with personal care and his health and wellbeing are priorities to all staff,. He has a good and healthy bond with staff. He enjoys different activities put on throughout the week. The building is very secure and safe, clean and well looked after. Our Father has a lovely view from his room of the burn and park. The staff are friendly and very good at communicating to our father and to us about how things are going. The security is vital to our father as he does like to wander off on his own, there is all different numbers to be able to leave the building via the lift and the front door . As much as our father at times can not remember things from the present he always remembers the staff's name and who his key worker is and what his key worker has done with him throughout the day and night. Our father talks very high of Pitkerro Care Home as we do. Due to staff showing respect to him and his family at this very difficult time for us all, keep up the great work.
